Addresses and Name Calling
You are almost two months old now. It is true, time passes quickly. A baby remains small for such a short time. I started out calling you fish because of how your lips are whenever I nurse you. The skin between your nose and upper lip gain a red fold. After a while, I started calling you whale because of how you sighed. You would stretch and curl then sigh, blowing air through your mouth. It’s almost like how one would imitate a horse but you sounded and looked more like a whale. You also farted often until you were a month old. You are my baby whale. You will be Baby Anja until you’re a year old…or maybe until you’re three. You are and will be dependent on adults. We will teach you and guide you. Then, you’ll be Little Anja until you’re seven. You will be able to do some things on your own. We will encourage you. You’ll be Young Anja until you’re 12. You will start to meet people outside family and explore the world beyond home. We will keep caring and looking after you. Not long enough, you’ll be Teen Anja until you’re 16…or maybe until you turn 18. You will experience all kinds of changes and challenges. We will be there to help you. And then, you’ll be Adolescent Anja until you’re 21…or 25. You’ll be pretty much your own person now, engaging in life independently. We’ll be around in your times of need. From there, you’ll simply be my daughter Anja. It’s up to you what other addresses and names you’ll gain and lose. We will witness your growth.

A Public Safety Announcement
In the light of e-bola scare and flu or colds season, this has nothing to do with those. I’ll keep my introductory paragraph short and sweet because I have not done this (bloging) in a while: I have been a mommy for a little over a month now. No, there was no typo there, I have a daughter now, born at 7.9lbs/3.6kgs last October 20 via CSD.
I will also keep the body short: I entered into a secret relationship with my triathlon coach and became too intimate. I already had suspicions but only confirmed my pregnancy early March. Most of our friends soon found out and we later told my parents about it. I stopped all sports activities by April - and also, finally, graduated Bachelor of Library and Information Science.
And now, of course, a short conclusion: I’m a mommy and loving it.
Happy Holidays!
This is me and my brother. He posted this on Facebook as a New Year's Day greeting. :)
While most people just enjoy gobbling up food served during the Holiday celebrations, I'm just happy enough that there's more than the usual food.
I live with my mother and her youngest sister. My father comes in every now and then but he's mostly away, staying at his father's house. My mom is working and I am still studying so we are away most of our days, going home only to eat and sleep. Even my weekends are occupied with curricular and extra curricular activities keeping me out of the house. We cook out food. It's very seldom for us to bring home ready made food from else where. However, there's a tendency to have repetitive dishes that are easy to prepare. This is what I realized and loved about the recent festive celebrations, there is more than the usual food.
Food preparation for the Christmas and New Year's Day celebrations meant preparing food for more than just the household's members. Guests either come and visit us or we bring food at pot lucks. For whatever reason, there's more than the usual food. Doing the same on ordinary days would mean having the same dish for breakfast, lunch, and supper for around three days.
Hooray for the holiday celebrations! Hooray for another year! Hooray for more than the usual food! i^_.~'
Look Book?
Jejeporms dahil walang basagan ng trip.
I own a bike and ride it ever so often when I'm in school. Unfortunately, my pants often get caught on the drink container thing. So, in order to avoid any accidents (from happening again), I fold up my pants.
My classes are on the third floor of the main library which means an additional 60 vertical steps after a few cycles on the bike. It's mild workout but workout anyway so my legs heat up and sweat after a while. From there, I just decide to not pull down the folded parts of my pants.
Wala pa namang pumupuna. :D
Movie Madness: Sweeney Todd
The other day, I finally got the chance to watch Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Here’s my summary: Willy Wonka went to back to bloody London, became a bloody barber and partnered up with bloody Bellatrix Lestrange, who, in the end, was incinerated as witches are supposed to while Mr. Wonka and everyone else had their throats cut. Yeah, everyone pretty much died… Where was Wolverine while all of these were happening? And why wasn’t Captain Jack Sparrow in Les Miserables?

What is love? Define love.
Love is telling the truth even when it is an ugly one. Love is trusting beyond the power of fear.
(John 3:16, 15:11, 15, 16:33)
Love is always outwardly, not keeping to itself nor for itself. Love always builds and encourages; it believes in positive reinforcement. Love corrects and rebukes gently. Love leaves room for mistakes, allowing chance for repentance and improvement. Love does not just appear out of nowhere, it grows.
(1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
Love is like that. It is always giving itself away.
("Master Plan of Evangelism" p50, by Robert Coleman)
Bakit Nga Kaya? // Why, Oh, Why?
Maraming salamat mga maginoo. i^_.~’
Interest Deficit
I ceased crying when I was told it was prohibitted.
I stopped being sad; I stopped feeling anything - for anything - altogether.
I also stopped loving. This time, I will keep silent and practice my right to remain silent.
Speaking is futile when no body listens.
I will write. At least, that way, you can take another look when you feel interested.
I will show you how I see the world.
You will see - when you're interested.
OH, NO YOU DON'T!
