Is a 4WD location in Fitzgerald River National Park somewhere in a "No man’s land". The next place is Bremer Bay (with just 231 inhabitants) is 30 km a way. However, it takes almost 2 hours (70 km) to drive through the rough terrain to get there. In any case is definitely worth the effort, especially from June to the end of October. Not far from the City of Perth near by the City called Mandurah is living wonders of nature to find. Living stones! Thrombolithen. They are the oldest living beings on earth. A lot Watt there could tell us. They are responsible for the fact that we exist at all in the broadest sense and very directly. Because they started to produce oxygen at first and thus that ozone was created, which made it possible for life to leave the water enriched the atmosphere fire that fire could start. Without the high concentration of oxygen, we humans would never have been able to ignite a fire, to fry food with it and thus "pre-digest" it enough protein to get our brains growing. Actually, it is the creatures that live on the stones that make it grow and bring it to life: very small cyanobacteria. However, recordings of the growth would have to be shot in very long slow motion. The seaweed Dunaliella salina thrives here in Pink Lake. It colors the strong saline lake pink. The coloring beta carotene is extracted from it and is very valuable. A little tip: Look at the clouds over the lake with your sunglasses.
