Rainy days were not something Lana have taken the liberty into enjoying. In fact, most of the time when it poured too hard she would have flashbacks back to that one event that occurred years ago. Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and dead people stabbed with a knife. That night, was the start of the darkest times of her life. Despite the fact that the events of SL-9 had passed so long ago, the memories are still freshly etched into her brain.
Enthusiasm seemed to be overflowing within the blonde individual. Though, under the sunlight anybody would feel relief from any situation. Lana deduced that this individual must also be new to this school just as she was. The former chief prosecutor nodded at his question—though the title of ‘teacher’ or ‘professor’ was something she needed to grow accustomed towards.
“Oh you have?” Genuine curiosity flowed from her tone. “I am indeed a teacher. I teach forensic science, though I used to be a prosecutor.”
That was a weird combination, even Lana had to admit that. However, forensics only came in handy when she was a detective for the Criminal Affairs Department—though that would be a totally different story that she would have to go on about.
“What might you be studying in this academy?” A smile surfaced her lips once before a series of shock hit her. Hand to her chest, eyes widen slightly. “I do not believe that I have introduced myself yet. My apologies. I’m Lana Skye, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Hm, guessing she wasn't too into the rainy scene. Not that big a deal, maybe it was more of an 'I grew up with mostly rainy days, so I guess I'm just used to them' kind of thing. At least, it didn't rain as much in London as it did while he was living in the States, but he much prefered the states. Guess the rainy day memories just came along with it.
That's, eh, that's pretty unusual if Al was being honest with himself. He was silent for a moment, debating if he should even question it. He probably shouldn't, technically speaking it wouldn't be proper. And yet — "I'm sorry, I'm a little confused, just how did you go from law — prosecution — to, well, forensics?" At least he managed to stop himself before he asked if she was even qualified to teach said subject.
"Law, mainly," he said with a small shrug. "Planning on studying law, become a defense attorney." Thinking back to past conversations over campaigns with his brother, he added on, "I'm thinking of taking a few political classes next year, once I get more or less used to college life. "
"It's nice to meet'cha, Miss Skye!" he said, with a wide grin, beaming at her. "Don't sweat it, I'd have probably figured it out sooner or later." He paused. Huh. looks like he hadn't introduced himself either. Should probably fix that. "As for me, name's Alfred Jones.
