My trip to New York
After 3 months of working on Mackinac Island (student summer program), I was really looking forward to my trip to NYC. I went there with my boyfriend and a friend that we met on the program and automatically clicked. Let me start with describing what we did and where we went. First big thing was a helicopter ride. We booked it online and Flynyon was our service provider. The weather wasn't great and it was questionable are we even going to fly that day, but we had some luck and before we knew, we were in the air. The ride lasted 16 minutes and we paid 220$ and we have no regrets. It was an amazing experience to see all those buildings from the air and Statue of Liberty. For me, it was like a dream. Next stop was Empire State Building. When we got up, the view was extrodinary. It wasn't that busy so we got a few picutres. Then we went on a Broadway show and watched Aladdin. I don't know what was better, costumes, actors, jokes or whole performance. Everything was beautiful, funny, in one word amazing. Further more, we went to the Little Island because I am a big fan of tulips so I needed to see the biggest tulips and it is fascinating what people can build. When you get there, you have a place to sit, eat and drink and also close to Little Island is Pier 57 and Chelsea Market where you can also find something to eat. Also, we went for a walk in Central Park and it was so peaceful and it is huge :) We found a really cute open terace cafe where we drank coffe and enoyed nature. Then we went to see Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and the weather was so bad and in the same day we went to Top of the Rock and had a special view - fog. That day wasn't the greatest haha. Our last day, it was finally sunny and we went to see Brooklyn Bridge, High Line and 66 Perry Street (who knows, knows) :) and I honestly don't know which part of this trip I like the most. I felt like I am dreaming half of the time and the other half was like I am in a movie. For someone who never had some big expectations of New York it really blew my mind and if you have the opportunity to go there, I would recommend it :)
