My dad died in 1993 but left behind a treasure trove of B&W photos he took of NYC and environs mid-20th century. I’ve written short stories based on 100 of my favorites, a long awaited collaboration with my father.

A 30-second portrait of me by the great Joe Orlando, a little something he dashed off while we were plotting out the 1986 SUPER POWERS miniseries in his office.

I've got **5** sets of "Paul Kupperberg's Comic Characters Limited Edition Trading Cards" left. They are fun, worthless, & guaranteed to only decrease in value, but the NEXT 5 COPIES ordered of my ILLUSTRATED GUIDE TO WRITING COMICS gets one! Be a Do-Bee.

One day, we'll be able to sell our comic books shoulder-to-shoulder again! Me and @deanhaspiel pushing the funnybooks at @midtowncomics in 2014. #comics #thosewerethedays
Another gut punch. Joe Sinnott (October 16th, 1926-June 25th, 2020), from 2018. The first time I met Joe was in 2013. I was doing a signing at the Archie Comics booth at NYCC when he and Tony Isabella walked by. Tony and I, old pals from way back, waved, and they kept walking while I kept signing. A few minutes later, Joe came back to the table to apologize for not having recognized me and saying hello. I was flabbergasted and flattered as all hell... so much so, I never told him that we hadn't ever met before. I assume hearing my name from Tony and knowing my brother, Joe must have thought our paths had to have crossed at some point. At any rate, it was a lovely gesture from as sweet and genuine a man as I have ever met, and it was my pleasure to spend even a few minutes with him here and there at subsequent conventions over the years. Oh, and he was easily one of the Top 10 best inkers to ever touch a comic book page.
