It's so fucked up that hypothyroidism can make you extremely psychotic and obsessive-compulsive and traumatized instead of just causing fatigue and cold sensitivity and other PHYSICAL symptoms of a PHYSICAL ILLNESS.

It is literally insane that thyroid issues can worsen OCD. Like what do you MEAN my throid isn't producing enough whatever juice and now an intrusive thought ruins my day and haunts me for days to the point of inducing a traumatic depressive episode. What do you MEAN it can do that?? What the fuck are bodies what the fuck what the fuck

I don't know what to think, my brain keeps pressing the button labelled “dissociation” and everything is foggy, everything happens as if in a dream and I don't know how to wake up.
For over a year, I was taking medication for depression and anxiety disorders and it was great, I really came back to life, but now that I've come off them, I feel like a dead body again, which moves, sleeps, eats, works, comes back, moves, eats, works, and so on all the time, and I feel like I'm watching my life from the sidelines but not playing any part in it, everything passes me by and I just stand and watch.
Ever since I was a child, dissociation has been an escape for me - my dad, whom I loved very much, died when I was 7, and I didn't cry at all after that. I didn't know what was happening to me at all, and I think that was the first serious dissociation I experienced.
Then I escaped into everything just to avoid reality: books, millions of books, always fiction, fantasy, novels, poetry, classics, anything but the real world, which I always associated with evil and discomfort and sadness and fear.
I've always spent too much time in my head. To this day, my safe space is my head. But it's also my prison. Today, the boundaries between my head and the world are blurring, and I feel unstable and confused. I don't know what to do. I stand still and wait for something to happen.
Yes you should try that new thing that you want to do but scares you! Yes you should attend that event or begin that hobby or speak to that one person! The desire to do it is enough, you do not need to overcome all of your fears to pursue what you want. Let yourself be imperfect as you follow your passion.
"don't borrow tomorrow's grief" i am not! i am borrowing tomorrow's anxiety. and overmorrow's. and overovermorrow's. and
