For the most part, this shearson ran as smooth sailing as it gets. People looked at it and put their votes in. I can only blame myself for the quarterfinals actually being quite a bit messed up, which was really solved by just preparing the text. Good time I chose for this.
Well, let's talk the finale, round 5 battle +1. At first it seems obvious murder camel would sweep again for their back-to-back win, Pearl have done it Gem haven't. Then I wake up to find out team pickles coming on top by very slight, a few hours in murder camel close in to at moments a literal draw. Which is mid noon, when I usually announce results. Eventually the pickles find its way in the afternoon, which leads to now. Maybe too early.
And about turnout numbers, used to matter a lot but not anymore, just look at the scene at large lol. The biggest matchup, which is this pair that lost to murder camels and then I decide to resurrect to ironically fight against the pickles, if you only count the 2 servers I ran the bracket last shearson (all the way to the first round of this shearson), still doesn't go up to as much as last shearson's peak. How would the future be? I'd probably want to return to the bracket proper early next year, there's a certain holiday that will give me the time.
