confession i never disliked the idea of cats having their disabilities cured (i'm talking about briarlight specifically) in starclan. if i (disabled person) died and went to heaven and i still had my disability i'd be so mad i'd shove my fingers so deep into my head and split my skull apart vertically

I think part of why it’s such a controversial choice isn’t necessarily about whether or not they should have their disability, but bc one of the earlier books said something like “in starclan they take the form of when they were happiest in life.” So when every cat has no disabilities it made it seem like none of them were as happy after being disabled. But idk I’m pretty sure that reasoning got retconned and it doesn’t account for cats who have disabilities at birth

#it’s super fuzzy and bc the Erin’s have retconned starclan’s rules so many times it’s hard to discuss #bc are some of those rules kinda iffy? yeah #but sometimes things are less iffy? who knows
