An organisation believes they have captured an interdimensional traveller. In reality, they could leave at any point, but they sit through it because the âinterrogationsâ are the most fun theyâve had in eons.

A common rule among Genies is that you may not wish for more wishes. However, thinking you found a loophole, you instead wish that you had the Genieâs power. The genie laughs in your face and blatantly says, âNo, you donât,â and for the first time, you notice the immense pain in their eyes.
iâm gonna make a movie where two normal ladies fall in love. everythingâs chill, no age gap, theyâre both out of the closet, their families love them, everythingâs fine. the catch is that one lady has a cat and the other lady never figured out what the catâs name was cause the Owner Lesbian ALWAYS uses a dumb nickname and now itâs been three years and theyâre getting married and itâs too late to just ask
Itâs garnering more and more urgency because the catâs importance is growing (the cat is going to be the ring bearer, oh no!)
The First Lady asks her fiancĂŠ if they should get a fancy collar with the cats name for the wedding and her fiancĂŠ throws her arms around her and says âgreat, would you go do that tomorrow?â
the longer i think about it the more that sounds like a valid conflict to base an entire movie around and the fewer problems i could think of that cant have a solid writing solution available
âJust wanted to confirm the spelling before I gave the order, hun. This shit is costly and I only got one form.â
âOh, just the normal spelling, no crazy vowels or anything.â
This is so good. Plus itâs not like you can try out likely names and see if the cat responds, like a dog might. Itâs a cat. Itâs just gonna sit and squint unblinkingly at you regardless, no matter how many names you try.
Plot twist:
Itâs not a stupid nickname.
The cat really is âmiss kitty.â
Y E S
no no no. the cat doesnât have a name, the cat owner never decided on one so she just goes with various silly nicknames. but since her fiancĂŠe acts like she is aware of the catâs name, the cat owner assumes the fiancĂŠe mistook one of the nicknames for the actual name. but she doesnât know which! so the cat owner doesnât know what the supposed cat name is either, and relies on the fiancĂŠe revealing it at some point, but it never comes and sheâs getting agitated too because she doesnât want to admit she never named her cat
Hey hey hey in a similar vein to ^^^
What if
Neither if then know the name
Because itâs neither of their cat.
The cat decided to move in about the same time one of the girls did. Both think itâs the other oneâs cat. Both are committing these increasingly elaborate shenanigans to figure out the name from the other.
The true wlw miscommunication romcom we deserve
The Cat: I like these humans. They are idiots and also adorable. I think Iâll stay here.
Where can I watch this?
Hold up, Iâm on the edge of my seat here
So much âbody-positivityâ just boils down to, âYouâre not as fat as you think!â and only serves to reinforce fatphobia. Your before-and-after slouching photos are fatphobic. Your reassurance that, âEveryone has a pouch there! Thatâs where your organs are!â is fatphobic. Your comparison of different jeans that are all different sizes in different stores but all fit the same is fatphobic. Anything thatâs meant to reassure thin people theyâre not fat is fatphobic. Anything that fails to acknowledge that some people actually are fat is fatphobic. And you canât be âbody-positiveâ and fatphobic. They are mutually exclusive.

the bravest writers are the ones who make granny characters in scifi and fantasy solely for the sake of having grannies i think there needs to be more old ladies who Fight and Kill
not only because i like the concept of badass oldladies and the destruction of the concept that all girl characters have to be sexually appealing to the audience bc thats fucking annoying as shit, there is literally Nothing funnier than the concept of a granny with a massive sword or death laser. she pinches ur cheek lovingly and then saws someone in half. amazing

if you as a normal tumblr user go around flagging posts for mature labels you are A Fucking Cop
âbut what if i hate women so much i need to mark their existence as matureâ if youâre this bothered by the sight of real life women you 1.) need to grow tf up and 2.) should just unfollow people instead of having a childish temper tantrum and flagging peopleâs blogs
âI personally donât like it so I want to make it so no one can see itâ sounds an awful lot like conservative censorship. Same tune, different band.
Now is a good time for a reminder that Tumblr has a very useful tag blocking system!!! Maybe use that like an adult instead of reporting any post that makes you upset.
Studying sustainability has taught me that the answer to things like âis it better to use paper or plastic bags?â always ends up being something like âwe would need to perform an extremely in depth study on the entire life cycle of both types of bags from virgin material collection to product recollection, compare things like amount of product each type of bag can carry, material usage per bag, how frequently double-bagging is occurring, and take into account a ridiculous number of factors down to the fuel efficiency of the trucks that transport them and even after all that we would have to try to find a way to compare whether the higher carbon emissions of producing and transporting paper bags is better than the fact that the plastic bags will be plastic bags for the next thousand years. And at the end of the day all this research would ultimately not be particularly useful because our waste collection streams in the US are so fucking bad itâs depressing.â
And then someone will ask about reusable bags and youâd have to do the study again only to reveal that you need to use the reusable bag like a couple thousand times to offset the carbon emissions it takes to make the reusable bag and make it worth it over disposable bags and thatâs not taking into consideration bags breaking before then or being forgotten about completely.
The answer always leads to âitâs incredibly complicated but our current practices are so terrible we would need a full scale restructuring of our economy and practices to such a degree that can literally never happen because our government is lobbied by the people who make money off of said unsustainable practices.â
So the answer to âpaper bags or plastic bags?â is that we need to destroy capitalism
I mean that's the answer to most things
Is it cringe to be into trans men but not cis men? Iâm a transfem and I donât know if this is fetishistic but Iâm just always feeling unsafe around cis men in a way trans men never made me feel. I feel guilty about it and donât know how to explain it outside of that.
nah i think itâs valid. there are gonna be some ppl who will be weird abt it bc theyâre obsessed with insisting that trans men are indistinguishable from cis men but thatâs just simply not true. weâre different from cis men, so dating us will be a different experience, and thatâs okay. itâs okay to want that different experience, especially as a fellow trans person. as long as you just treat them like a human being and donât make weird comments about their genitals, which iâm sure wonât be a problem, then youâre all good. live ur t4t dreams.
and like. i kinda have weird feelings abt fetishization bc like ok.
i hooked up with a queer person who used all the right language and did all the right things, but then they told me they only date ppl who were afab, regardless of gender. theyâll fuck ppl who were amab but they wonât date them, only afab ppl. the further we got into the convo, it became clear that the reason they only wanted to date ppl who were afab is bc we are more likely to have been socialized to take on the brunt of the domestic and emotional labor in relationships. that hookup ended up lasting over an hour bc they kept interrupting sex to complain about their ex wife. by the end i was practically shoving them out the door because i was so uncomfortable.
the guy iâm hooking up with right now is very cis and found me through the ftm tag on grindr, so he was specifically looking for trans guys. he told me heâs into trans guys because he likes sleeping with masculine people, mostly men, but he also likes the way vaginas feel. could that be seen as fetishistic? sure. does it feel that way to me when we have sex? nope. he uses gender affirming language without even being asked, he tells me heâs super into my body and gets excited when he notices that iâve grown more hair or had a t dick growth spurt. he likes my body because itâs trans, and iâm perfectly okay with that.
i felt so much more fetishized by the queer person who was actively seeking out afab ppl to take advantage of essentially patriarchal trauma than i ever have by the guy who just likes trans pussy. so i feel like we just really need to have a conversation about what it actually means to fetishize someone because it very much feels like itâs just become âthinks trans ppl are hotâ and i hate that literally other trans ppl are scared of finding other trans ppl hot for fear of fetishizing. trans ppl are fucking hot! our trans bodies are hot! itâs okay to be sexually attracted to trans bodies!
THIS. This this this, a thousand times this.
I personally think that a lot of people have decided that "being attractive to something non-normative" = "fetishizing" which... Is just blatantly not true. But it's how you end up with people who think that someone who is explicitly (and perhaps only) attracted to trans/genderqueer bodies is an evil fetishizer instead of, you know. Someone who likes that kind of body. Same vein of thinking as people who think that those who are attracted to fat people are all chubby chasers with a fat/feeding fetish instead of just people who find fat bodies attractive.
Like imo? There is no fucking difference between saying "Oh yeah, I really like guy pussy" and "I really like big dick and muscles." It's just what you like, and I hate that when someone expresses that they like something that is seen as "not normal"- not a straight, cis, white, abled, thin body, people act like it's a fetish or it's objectifying. Because what that says, at least to me as a fat genderqueer transmasc, is that being attracted to me as I am is inherently not normal and not good. And that is a fucking SHITTY message to send.
The problem with trans chasers and chubby chasers and "fetishizers" (and honestly, people really need to like, read up on what a fetish is because I'm sick of seeing it used as some bad thing all the time, it's not) is that they treat people as not whole people. Whether, as in the example above, they take advantage of actual or perceived trauma and behavior associated with one's assigned gender, or as a personal example, they're only interested in sleeping with you because they've "never fucked a fat chick and hear that you girls give awesome head". People who do that shit see the people they go after as experiences or novelties, or as something exotic. A sex object that they can use.
Whereas someone who is just into trans bodies, fat bodies... They just like those bodies. And they will treat you as a whole person. You're not a sexual toy to them- you're a person that they think is hot, that they want to sleep with. They care about you and your body and what you need. Again, it's no different than someone who dates people with brown eyes or cool dyed hair because they find those things attractive. It's just "this is what I look for physically in a partner".
'#i genuinely really like this post#because it is always difficult for me to acknowledge that i do have preferences due to this sort of thing#are they strong ones? no. but just the fact that they exist doesn't meant that i'm fetishizing something!!#however my brain and american purity culture are both mean' will smith gesturing meme goes here
Ao3 is actually massively culturally important and very very good at being what it is. Iâm so serious when I say that ao3 needs to be protected as the anti censorship, by fans for fans, nonprofit, volunteer run, expertly designed archival site that it is. You donât have to read or like fanfiction to understand that on principle, ao3 is a site that should be defended.
Man. The flagrant lack of critical reading skills and basic reading comprehension just makes me sad. There's a lot of joy in reading the English language that these people are missing out on. There's a clear INTEREST in reading and I feel like if we could just get people off this anti-intellectual streak everyone would be having much more fun reading Metamorphosis AND Twilight.
I genuinely hate this attitude that getting better reading comprehension skills will somehow keep you from enjoying your pulp romance or comic books or fanfiction. All a literature education does is give you more tools to analyze writing. It will only increase the joy of reading.
The spell of the fae forced you to tell them your name. The fae looks at you with pure horror, while you look at them confused, because that was definitely not your name.
The mighty alien race comes to the human leaders, pledging their unconditional surrender, and even offering peace gifts of immense monetary and technological value. The only problem is that we had no idea we were at war, or that aliens even existed.
