I’m so sorry for posting this on social media but last night was the worst night of my life.

TW: abuse, trauma dumping

What started as a simple discussion with my mother turned into a loud and scary environment involving my dad, which left me under so much distress that I couldn’t breathe or even hold myself up. It started because I was talking to my mom about moving out with stevie. We were only looking at the process to understand everything id need for the future as I am currently unemployed, but they decided to take this as an opportunity to victimize themselves and turn my simple decision to look at apartments into a big fight about me being a “selfish, careless child”. For the past 9 years, i have given up on my dreams, my passions, my life, in order to keep them living in a comfortable life of free labor and obedience. Since I was 14, I have given up on growing up so that they could have a worker that they didn’t have to pay. Summers and weekends were reserved for cleaning houses, god forbid I ask for one Friday off. For the past 5 years, they had me take Anthony (my baby brother) as if he was my child. All my time and energy constantly went into their lives, quitting jobs to help them keep their company afloat, dropping out of college so they had a worker that they didn’t have to pay, giving up a social life to raise their child, and not once did I EVER ask for anything in return. In fact, I was constantly rushing to their aide and fixing all the problems they had because I wanted to not be selfish. I was conditioned to think that I was born to serve them, and up until last night I genuinely believed my future was going to always be to aid them. I will no longer be living under their roof, damaging my emotional and mental health in order to keep them satisfied. If you could please help in aiding me and Stevie, we would appreciate anything to keep us secure while we find somewhere to go.
