Hey ya'll! Apologies for not having a Mystery Skulls Animated update last month, as there was some family related issues to take care of. However, we've got some pretty exciting news in store for this update.

One of our most long standing issues is finally complete! After all this time we can finally say we have finished all of our background art! The monthly image included is one of said finished backgrounds!

For the longest time background art has been something of a thorn in our side, so having that out of the way is a huge source of relief. At this point, we're still plugging away at Post Production and the last remaining special effects, but we're getting closer and closer to that finish line. While we're not quite yet ready to publicly state some sort of expected release date, we think we have a fairly decent idea of when that may be!

- Merch Update -

June 5th, we'll be working with Makeship again! This time around, the Deadbeat plush will be returning so if you missed out on them the first time around, you'll have a second chance. Also, this time they're Glow In The Dark! We'll also be introducing a new stylish Deadbeat T-shirt to go along with it! We'll go into more details when the time comes, so if you're in the market for some Deadbeat goods, keep an eye out.

Rep Fest: I feel like in the Classic Rock/Music fandom a lot of people are really preoccupied with the British Invasion artists and other white artists (ie: Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly etc, etc.) They don’t seem to know about some of the black artists that were making just as big of a splash in America at that time. So, I thought this was a good time to showcase some of the awesome black men and women who were making great music at that time.

Superman’s sheer anger over Billy Batson’s situation is a sight to behold. Batman and Robin get away with it because he knows it’s the world’s best internship and that Bruce is willing to put out all the stops to protect him. But Billy? He doesn’t have anyone looking out for him. And that pisses off Superman more than anything.

This is a bigger deal than some of you might think, because Superman is one of the heroes in the DC Universe who keeps his secret identity pretty damn secret, because as probably the most powerful and influential person on earth, a lot of people do not wish him well - and would jump at the chance to hold people dear to him as leverage.

Yet, he trusts this poor, scared little kid. To comfort him, and entrust him with his biggest secret - just as Billy did for him.

Superman is just really important, ok?

I like the idea of Damian being an evil baby and Tim being the only one who notices. I also like the idea of baby Damian only acting that way because it makes Tim react, as in, he's tried babbling his name, he's tried walking (or trying to walk) to him and Tim doesn't pay him attention. But when he pulls at his hair and throws things? That catches Tim's attention, so he's always acting like that around him, while acting like a little angel around the others.
