Imagine Peril and Tsunami get stuck in a storm and Tsunami is injured so Peril has to find away around her firescales to carry her (all while they still hate each other) peril ends up having to swim with nami on her back

I dont have many headcannons for their relationship in the cannon timeline bc i just an au so theyd have more time to get to know each other

But uhh

-they bond over both being objectified by Scarlet

-the REASON they are each objectified comes down to their unique scales

-theyre both jealous of eachother, at first:

if Glory had been half as dangerous as Peril she could have saved her friends (au) or if she were a skywing and powerful Kestrel might not have hated her.

And Peril wishes dragons could look at her like they look at Glory, with awe and appreciation, or at least neutrally, rather than the fear and distain they look at peril with

Interestingly, Glory was raised by a Skywing (kestrels bio mom), and Perils bio dad (though she wasn't raised by him) is a rainwing

It turns out Misandry is actually heavily common in the matriarchal world of Wings of Fire, and we just didn't see it reflected in the povs for the following reasons

Clay: already hates himself for other stuff

Tsunami: Clay

Glory: Clay

Starflight: already hates himself for other stuff

Sunny: Clay and Starflight

Moon: never grew up in society

Winter: shockingly, Narwhal and Tundra were very woke in this regard. Instead Winter simply hates himself for other reasons caused by his parents

Peril: Too busy thinking about killing Scarlet to think about how she wants Clay to make her a sandwich

Turtle: Low-key is, but also already hates himself for other reasons

Qibli: Was raised by Thorn, who was chill like that

Blue: Is a guy

Cricket: Is woke enough

Sundew: Is woke

Snowfall: Too busy being a chud in other regards to think about how her male cousins should be married off, become house husbands, and have no social life

Luna: Is woke

Umber: Is a guy

Kinkajou: Shockingly misandrist, and her book is about repealing mens rights in Pyrrhia and Pantala

okay so basically the dod decide to go through with sunnys escape idea that was mentioned in the first book when they were younger, but then scarlet shows up again like how she does in canon, instead of getting kidnapped by her they all run away and eventually find their respective families/kingdoms exept for glory. glory instead goes with scarlet and has a somewhat similar role to peril, but instead of being a public weapon shes more of a secret, also theres gloril. and also sunny is beetle now and is second in comand to thorn, as she enjoys finally feeling respected and in power unlike how they felt with the dod, and theres also suneril later on

i have ideas for other characters as well but those are the main ones, scarlet and thorn are basically the same as in canon but just in another situation
