Tanselle Too-Tall:

Tanselle was a lowborn puppeteer that performed at the Ashford Tourney. One of her acts adapted a well-known Westerosi legend depicting a knight slaying a dragon. Aerion — a Targaryen prince who has already proven to be violent — takes offence to this story and sees it as anti-Targaryen propaganda due to the Targaryen sigil being a dragon. He then attacks Tanselle and breaks her fingers, which leads to Ser Duncan attacking Aerion and being arrested. This all leads to the death of the crown prince and a lot of general drama. Who do many members of the fandom blame for all of the instability in the realm that follows? The violent, entitled prince who attacked an innocent woman? Or the woman who was attacked for simply putting on a puppet show? I think we all know the answer to that question.

"This fictional character killed people so if you like her you're a bad person" argument for some reason never got used against any of the men in the same story who did exactly that and had a higher body count. She also had complete and total justification for all her actions in the story and that is not a bit that is a genuine and direct reading of the source material.

Vriskourse overshadowed Vriska so much she barely got to shine as one of the most interesting and well written characters in Homestuck.
