About the AU

Dark Days is an adaptation of Sonic Unleashed, set on Earth in the Sonic Cinematic Universe. Its core story is that of the original game, but heavily expanded and further developed, and shown in a more serious light. The Werehog is depicted as a thematic manifestation of Sonic's "inner darkness", not as a monster but as everything beneath the surface, kept hidden from everyone—even himself.

Rewatched the pub scene from sonic 1 last night and it’s really funny how eager to fight people movie Sonic is. Lil 3ft 13 year old WANTS to throw hands bc it looks fun and exciting.

Sonic had a bar fight on his bucket list. He and Tom got called hipsters and it was like a heavenly choir started singing. Lil guy def thought “this is it this is the moment this is the opportunity”

Of course the total shitstain of a person (my "father"/spunk donor) I'm currently stuck living with (don't have somewhere else to move to yet) decides to be a raging egomaniac shit on the ONE fucking day I actually need to lock in and focus on writing.

I'm going to take an extra day to get Chapter 1 done and posted. I MIGHT be able to pull it off by midnight, but I'm too high-strung and stressed right now. I'll probably miss half the typos I'll be checking for if I don't take at least a little time to defuse.

Not sure if I've shared a full WIP of the hands yet, so—

Obviously there's some glitches to iron out, but this is close enough to what I'm going for.

Oh, and before I forget—you should go vote for Dark Days, the AU this model is from. There's literally only ten hours left of Round 3 of Sonic AU Collision, but if it makes it through to the next round, I'll be posting Chapter 1 of it on Saturday.

Edit: there's only six hours left and the AU is currently tied, please go vote for it to break said tie

With that out of the way, here's two other WIP renders. Starting off with, an (almost) full body shot.

Why are the cleats partially cropped out? I haven't figured out how to attach the spikes to the soles yet. More specifically, I haven't figured out how to have them not bend while the sole itself does. And yeah, I know the coloring is a bit choppy in some places. I'll fix that.

And here's a look at the eyes in dim lighting, to show off the glowing effect. It just uses an emission layer so it's nothing complex. Haven't decided if I want them to actually cast a tiny bit of light.
