The same artist previously created one of the coolest things in the world for us, a printable paper puppet of Sangreal. And now they're back with an absolutely fabulous piece of traditional art, depicting Seras Alkahest and Sangreal together!
A beautiful illustration, which somehow feels like... "classic" art. Maybe that's not the right word, we admit, and certainly not, but it somehow reminds us of Leonardo da Vinci's sketches, in terms of "vibe." As if a multifaceted artist, a naturalist, had captured this scene with just a pencil, after seeing it. (Although we know Leonardo da Vinci didn't exactly use a pencil like the ones we know today, but whatever: we won't take back the comparison with the old Florentine.)
It's a typical scene, with Sangreal showing his usual puzzled, slightly surprised expression (and as usual, he tries to hide it, but he doesn't have such precise control over his fish face) in the presence of Seras, who, as is natural for her, seems in control of the situation.
His tentacles are sinuous, full, almost material, and fill the space around his body as if claiming possession; his hair, incredibly long, floats around his face.
And then... yooo, the perspective of Sangreal's tail fin is so cool! The way the shadows define his body so well! It's not easy to capture his appearance so precisely. But above all, he looks fantastic!
