Life could be dream
RIP in peace all the nsfw posts
Iâm not sure exactly whatâs going to happen tomorrow (porn purge day) but shout out to all the dope smut bloggers Iâve enjoyed on here. And shout out to all the sex workers losing Tumblr as a platform.
Iâm not ashamed in saying I follow my fair share of âadultâ blogs and a lot of them are run by really nice people.
Seeing them have to fuck off because of Tumblrâs new rules is shit. So I just wanted to say that a lot of you will be missed. I know porn can be found all over the internet but thereâs definitely a more intimate community of filth peddlers on here. Itâs a shame to see that go.
AnywayâŠcheers to you dudes and dudettes. Thanks for the tits, arses and fannies.
What she says:Â âI donât want to have childrenâ What everyone thinks she means:
tl;dr - braindump from jury duty
my trial is over and i can talk about it.
the DA didnât make the case for the crime and i went into the deliberation room knowing that. i also knew a half-dozen white orange county folks might not see it that way. the defendant was latino, there was a gang charge in addition to robbery.
sure enough, as we went around the table to give our first impressions, the white ladies used language around âgut instinctâ and âhe shouldnât be hanging out with bad peopleâ and the like. others were undecided because there was so much unreliable testimony.
they got to me and i flatly said âi have reasonable doubts.â i stated some of my reasoning and heads started to nod. the next 3 jurors to talk after me were hispanic. they stated that they understood why this might be confusing, and then gave some personal perspectives about growing up in disadvantage neighborhoods, how not everyone is a gangster just because they live there. one white lady said âwell, you know, they should really move if thatâs the case.â
the discussion opened up and it went right to gangs, right to how the defendant shouldnât be hanging out with gang members. everyone had an opinion about how the defendant looked, or talked, or that he was drinking a 40 just before the robbery, or that he was related to a gang member. they went right to that.
but thatâs not what we were supposed to decide on. we were there for a robbery as the primary charge. a robbery that i very clearly felt the state had not be able to pin on this guy.
so⊠being the loud mouth that i sometimes am⊠i interrupted and said âletâs all turn to page 14 in the jury instructions and go through what would make the charge âguiltyâ, line by line, and see where we all stand.â
sure enough, when we focused on the actual charge, and the facts actually required for someone to be found guilty, most in the room agreed it wasnât there. well, except for two white ladies.
so i, also a white lady, helped to walk them through the list. when âgut instinctâ or âitâs a bad neighborhoodâ came up, i kindly pointed out that those are not facts of the case. when i requested that they use the facts of the case to provide reasoning for their position, they both quietly agreed there werenât any.
and thatâs how, in about an hour, we came to a unanimous decision of ânot guiltyâ.
i donât have experience with the court system. and i donât watch court room based tv dramas. so i was really a blank slate to all this.
i was taken aback at the very clear inherent bias that some jurors displayed, and all the while realizing they didnât think of themselves as bias. but i was also taken aback by how focusing on the process, the rules, and the facts quickly squashed that line of reasoning.
this has buoyed me a bit, in light of the actions of the aclu over the muslim ban. but it also feels so fragile. so very fragile.
And this is exactly why I have never tried to get out of jury duty. We need clear thinking, intelligent people on juries. I get so frustrated with people I know who are always looking for a way out of serving.
somebody offer this hero a cape
Fellow whites. THIS IS WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING.
Which means -get yourselfs on juries-. Donât skip jury duty. Donât skip donât skip donât try to sneak out of it, get on that jury, and make sure you are keeping all the other white people in line.

Iâve decided adding appropriate audio to doggo videos is going to be my new career. Iâm sure this is a viable profession that will bring me great prosperity.Â
Now watch some corgis jump over stuff. Sort of.Â
Clearly, corgis are more suited to limbo competitions.Â
i go absolutely ape shit buck wild when people ask me if i want to run errands with them like Letâs Fucking Go. and my mind absolutely maxes out of dopamine when they ask if i wanna stop for coffee. and if someone took me to the park id go bonkers in funcking yonkers
i got so high last night that i started ghostwriting for a golden retriever apparently

the â$1000 to go to Hawaiiâ bride, the âI bought a $99 polygraph on amazonâ lady, or the âwhy was $200 so hugeâ birthday girl
a lot of people seem to be confused and think the hawaii bride and the polygraph lady are the same but theyâre actually 2 separate people so hereâs all 3 in one go
the â$1500 to go to hawaiiâ bride

Where is Michigan, conservatives?
Doc, what are the top five items food banks LOVE to receive? I'm doing a collection soon and want to ask for specifics.
MONEY. WE WANT MONEY. MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY. WE CAN DO SO MUCH WITH IT. WE HAVE ACCESS TO DEALS YOU COULD NEVER. MONEY
That aside.
Iâm only going to talk about food items but if your food bank takes personal items, a lot of times diapers, feminine hygiene products, etc, are very very welcome.Â
1) Canned chicken and beefÂ
looooooove this stuff. Itâs expensive, it lasts forever, it tastes good and it can be used a variety of ways. This stuff is fucking catnip to food banks, itâs so hard for us to provide proteins.Â
2) Fancy nut butters
Peanut butter is a standby for food banks as a shelf-stable inexpensive protein, but if we have a family with a kid with a peanut allergy thatâs not going to work. Non-peanut butters are expensive and itâs something we hardly ever see donated. (we also like peanut butter, but thatâs easier for us to buy ourselves than non-peanut butters)
3) Canned or packaged tuna
You may notice a trend here in shelf-stable proteins. And yeah. Thatâs basically it, so Iâm not going to keep harping on it. But this stuff is a godsend.Â
4) Easy breakfast things for kids (Granola bars, instant oatmeal, and the like)Â
Whatever Donald Trump tells you, most people who get food from food banks are actually working their asses off and so they have to leave Obama to raise their baby or whatever, and they donât have a lot of time in the morning. Things like this that kids can make for themselves are expensive. (Another trend you may be noticingâdonate shit that costs a lot of money. That helps us more than all the shitty green bean cans in the world) But they are so helpful for busy working families where the parents may not have a set schedule and sometimes little Amanda is making her own breakfast before she runs off to school. Donât let kids go to school hungry.Â
5) Shelf-stable juice
This is one people never think of! But if you show up with a bunch of (preferably reduced sugar stuff) bottles of juice at my door, oh man, you are gonna get so many check mark and okay hand emoticons. This stuff is great for kids, and it doesnât require refrigeration until itâs opened, so it works great for food drives.Â
But seriously, give money
And itâs way better food, too, anything you get prepackaged has A TON of sugar and/or salt in itâŠcollecting cans may be more exciting than writing a check, but if the point is to help people, the check is going to get a lot more done
Yoooooo heads up for those of you with kids, I know this time of year schools start holding canned food drives so keep this in mind if youâre able to give.
collecting cans may be more exciting than writing a check, but if the point is to help people, the check is going to get a lot more done .
hint: the point should be to help people.
The Official âLog Offâ Protest F.A.Q!Â
The âLog Offâ protest is in response to the recent NSFW ban announced by Tumblr. The ban flags all content the filtering system detects as NSFW, reducing visibility to the community. The system has proven time and time again that is inefficient, oftentimes flagging SFW material as NSFW.Â
This SFW material includes art, memes and so on. This ban directly hurts the community and will not solve the actual problems at hand due to the poor flagging system. Because of this, the entire community will suffer. Â
So to respond, I propose that every user on Tumblr logs off of Tumblr for 24 hours on December 17th at 12 am EST.Â
Times are listed above depending on timezone!Â
This post responds to some very common questions about the protest. So make sure to read it over!Â
