he  seemed  to  be  cooperative  up  until  the  sudden  shift  when  the  other  attempted  to  reach  toward  his  crown.  he  snapped  back  immediately,  slapping  the  hand  away  defensively.

"  HANDS  OFF,  SISTER  !!  just  what  do  you  think  you're  trying  to  do  ?!  "  

he  hissed  out,  his  jagged  teeth  gritting  in  agitation.  

"  YEESH,  you  don't  just  go  around  stealing  peoples'  fashion  accessories  !!  you  may  be  me,  but  just  because  you  are,  doesn't  mean  it's  a  free  for  all  !!  besides,  how  am  i  supposed  to  land  babes  without  my  crown  ?!  "

it's like talking to a brick wall. a blue, cold, and unbearably frustrating brick wall !! simon was a fool to think he could just take it from him that easily. it had been worth a try, right ?

he growls out a huff, grinding his teeth as he realizes this was gonna be harder than he wanted it to be. but he can't be too harsh on him, it'd ruin any chances he had. he screwed his eyes shut and breathed in harshly through his nostrils, before looking at him with a stern expression.

" it's not just a fashion accessory, it's an ancient artifact — an ancient artifact that holds immense power. it turned you from me into this !! " he gestures down at himself once more before sharply poking the end of ice king's nose in frustration and emphasis. he sighed, pinching the bridge of his glasses before pressing his palms together.

" you'll understand later once you've gotten our intellect back, but for now i just really need you to go with me on this one. " he knows he's not gonna go with him on this one.

he takes a sharp inhale of breath. this isn't something he ever thought he'd do, and something he never wanted to do, either. he doesn't want to talk to him as much as he can help it, and it takes everything in him to not feel sick looking at him.

he's gonna cut to the chase, get what he needs, and get the hell out again. he forces a fake smile, almost talking down to the ik as if he were a child.

" i — look, you see that crown on your head ? " he mimics the shape of the crown above his head with his fingertips.

" this might sound a little crazy, but see — i lost mine and kinda really need it back. so if i could just borrow it — "

he reaches forward towards the crown, sweating profusely.

i was trying to figure out a bk/mn verse for simon and i was onto SOMETHING. not sure what tho. i need to let it sit in my brain stew a bit more .. me trying to figure it out below the cut 👇

something abt simon getting possessed / cursed / involved in some sorta cult (in the ice way / slowly losing his mind thing) and betty going to trudy to get rid of his curse but not realizing its slowly killing him

once she figures it out tho she changes her desire to take on the curse herself to keep simon safe or SOMETHING along those lines, leading to her also fusing with whatever had caused it in the first place (a la golbetty)

simon would prob go to trudy after as well like HEY UH CAN I HAVE HER BACK ?? PLEASE ???? the entire verse is such a mess i dont even know. im onto something tho. just not sure what it is HAHA

im also just curious if simon even CAN become the ice king anymore since bettys wish was to keep him safe ?? like would that just kinda negate itself since itd be going against a different wish, was that just a one time thing to fuse with golb and is now defunct ??
