Shooting with the Jaunt VR camera was a huge learning experience for me. It’s was the opposite of shooting with other cameras because it mostly involved setting up the shot and getting out of the way as the camera sees in 3 360 degrees. Also making sure nobody blocks the shot. Imagine doing that in a fully packed Yaba market...😕The non-fun part of this was negotiating with the area boys who seem to get super energized once they see the Jaunt Camera. I don’t blame them. It’s an interesting looking camera. In the spirit of the Olympics and after the awesome opening ceremony with @akuomaomeoga @ngozi.onwumere and @seun_msamazing glowing and making history, I want to say how proud I am to have worked on this project with them on the Olympic channel. Everyone knows that producing a film or documentary in Lagos is super difficult but shooting in VR (virtual reality) is even more difficult especially with strange looking Jaunt Camera that shoots in 360 degrees with 24 cameras pieced together. The job of the producer doesn’t get any more difficult. Nevertheless, I had so much fun working on this. I had a ball! Check out the entire series on the Jaunt site (link in my bio).
