Men will literally create a fake identity for a corpse and throw it in the ocean to trick the Germans instead of going to therapy
Finding out Ewen Montagu was 43 during Operation Mincemeat is crazy to me. he should've stayed away from the club
operation mincemeat and everything is the same except monty starts singing popular from wicked to charles
operation mincemeat and everything is the same except monty starts singing what the world needs from ride the cyclone
Operation mincemeat and everything is the same except Monty starts singing I want it all from high school musical 3
Operation mincemeat and everything is the same except Monty starts singing someone gets hurt from mean girls
Operation mincemeat and everything is the same except Monty starts singing You and Me (but mostly me) from Book of Mormon
casual survey: reblog if you want to kiss a girl right now
first mincememe!
variation on a theme
Did you know that you can waste your free time by not knowing which activity to do so you do none of them
me literally right now
Now I'm going down in history!
monty + the life of a showgirl a genius man

incorrect montagu (except they're all correct to me)
"We can't end it like that!" "Yes, what about all the stuff that happened after?"
āi asked chatgptā okay well i asked franklin shepard and he said mutter mutter mutter mutter yes jerome
i think itās nice that when brainstorming characteristics for bill they decide so early on that well itās absolutely crucial that he be hot. obviously

It's even better than this, it's a bunch of MEN who want Bill to be hot.
Jean only says "he's noble and courageous", and that he has refined taste in clothes and he went to the "hottest joints", which okay, yes, cool.
Hester says he should have "experience" which yes, makes sense.
Who is it again that wants him to have a "body that could wrestle a lion"? Monty.
Who is it that wants him to "look excellent in suits"? Charles.
Do with this information what you will.
well of course! thatās bc jean and hester are professionals in their place of employment. meanwhile charlie and monty are having a weird workplace affair involving their shared imaginary friend ://
i think we as a fandom should borrow from historical fact and start talking more about how weirdly into the roleplay aspect of creating bill montlie were. like the real charles cholmondeley wore bill's clothes for months before they sent him off and the real ewen montagu wrote letters AS bill to pam (jean leslie) for years. it was more than projection, they both INHABITED bill. so put these two freaks together and we've got a very strange psychosexual affair
sidenote: the relationship the real montagu formed with bill seemed pretty damn parasocial/borderline frankensteinian but i think in the context of the musical and trans monty specifically, the way he glamorises bill vs how badly he treats the memory of the actual dead person whose body he exploited reveals a split between his idealised self and a killed-off dysphoric self. so the "making a man" aspect of operation mincemeat is not only inherently homoerotic (like shelley's frankenstein), but also has room for a transgender reading. i mean it's not the first time monty has invented a man from scratch
This interpretation changed me deeply. Iām shook wow
Just saying that there needs to be a reel/tiktok series about the operation mincemeat characters going to therapy
and i am hard at work filling that void
