Release day! I had so much fun writing this. It was my first time incorporating orchestral strings with the piano and I couldn't be happier with the end result. My favorite part is especially from the 2:00 mark to the end.

Finished my game trailer yesterday!
The last big thing remaining before I release my game demo is writing the soundtrack. Here's how the main menu music turned out! I think it's very catchy.
I spent this last week on creating art assets for the steam page for my upcoming game. I think it's coming along nicely and I hope to finish the steam page by the end of today!
I've been focusing on finishing a video game for the past several months and progress is finally far along enough that I feel ready to share.

I know movie theaters make most of their profits from concessions and that's why it's so expensive, but when it comes to people like me who won't ever pay $10 for popcorn they could make some extra money by selling a ticket that costs a few more dollars and lets me bring in my own food.
Update: I caved and got a large kettle corn while seeing Wicked 2. They got me.

If you had told me a couple months ago that the hardest part of the game I wanted to make was the character select screen, I wouldn't have believed you. I made my life hard by cramming 4 players onto a single keyboard with simple arrow controls, so I set out to make a menu that could be navigated using the 4 directional inputs alone. And of course I wanted to be able to set up both human and CPU players on the same screen. It was a little rough figuring out something that was intuitive but I'm happy with it!

For hire: someone to come to my house every day at 10pm and beat me senseless if I'm still doomscrolling instead of winding down for the day and reading a book I enjoy.
And yes, getting beaten with a stick would be an improvement to my mental health vs nervously refreshing reddit every 5 minutes

I made a thing! I downloaded Vermilion VR today and gave VR painting a try. I don't really know what I'm doing but it was pretty fun. I'm especially pleased with the sky, I might have to go back and add more detail to the mountains.

I finished a piano track! But before I release it I started experimenting with also making an Orchestral version. What do you think/which do you like better, solo piano vs orchestral? (The strings still need more refinement, but here it is as a quick sketch)
