Little things to know for artists just now coming to (or returning to) tumblr:

Remember that “liking” a post doesn’t add it to anybody else’s dash or spread it around; only reblogs do that!

Even if you have no followers, your art will be seen if you tag it appropriately. #art #original #oc are common basic ones but you should also tag any relevant themes and content like #animals #horror #fantasy #mermaids and so on. People following or checking those tags will see them!

Unlike tiktok, instagram and twitter it is considered normal (and should be) to interact with posts no matter how old they are. There’s no expiration on reblogging or commenting, including re-reblogging your own posts or adding new thoughts to them.

They only added this in recent years, but you can click on your own post in your dash to see all the comments and tags.

Tumblr is the only social media I know of where a lot of people routinely use the tag field to add personal thoughts and opinions, so don’t miss out on that as another source of feedback and commentary on your work!

Unconstructive negativity or unsolicited criticism is much rarer and more frowned upon here, so the likelihood of a comment that really amounts to just “this sucks” is a lot lower. People who do that just get ripped to shreds, really.

antonio on both of his wedding photos. guess sometimes surviving an apocalypse and losing everything and everyone means that you still get to find someone you actually love lol

happy 7th birthday, fallout 4!

antonio was pressured into getting married when he was in his 20s. auburn was a lovely woman and very much in love with him but he could never return the same feelings. even as the years went on, antonio couldn’t tell her the truth; that he could only fall in love with another man. he hid his true self and tried hard to find happiness in his current situation. when shaun was born, antonio felt more alive than he had in years. he ended up being more excited about parenthood than auburn. then the bombs fell.

losing everything and waking up in a strange new world was traumatizing. he mourned auburn but could never really relate to the sorrow of a widower. he had lost a friend. the only thing keeping the man going was the possibility of finding his son alive. and when everything felt scary and hopeless, a light shone in the darkness and the angel, nick valentine, entered his life.

the two became friends, detective partners and soon, each others rocks. nick helped antonio cope through the shock of finding the truth about shaun, while antonio helped nick with facing his past and shaping out who he was as a person. all nick wanted was something to call his own and all antonio longed for was peace and happiness. little did they know, they both could find that with and in each other. 

both had lost a life they once had and had to build themselves a new one. and neither believed they could still find love after all this time, as men so changed by the world. yet here they were, five years later, slow dancing in their diamond city home when nick decided to propose. the wedding ceremony was small but sweet, with their closest friends invited. they spent their honeymoon in their cabin in far harbor <3
