for one of my course projects, we had to choose a favorite artist, make a collage, and — after analyzing their work — create a series of covers based on it.

i’m serving some public emo swag and showing it off here!

for me, the essence of gerard’s art is pure expression and intensity — tragedy conveyed through visual language. sharp lines, a limited palette, and the recurring motif of blood evoke pain, sacrifice, and inner conflict. all of this creates a world where suffering and beauty coexist, blurring the line between life and art ⭐️
