The name “Loozy” is commonly used to refer to Louie in the files of Pikmin 2, most notably in his treasure form as the King of Bugs. This name is also used in a prerelease article covering the May 2003 E3 demo of Pikmin 2. This seems to imply that “Loozy” could have been an early name for Louie.

Additionally, in Pikmin 3, the internal names for the transportable unconscious Louie after the Scornet Maestro and Quaggled Mireclops fights are “Luzy” and “Luzy2” respectively.

The names of Alph, Brittany, and Charlie are taken from the first three code words in the NATO phonetic alphabet. Alph is from “Alpha”, Brittany is from “Bravo”, and Charlie is from “Charlie”. Out of the three, Brittany’s name is the least similar to the code word.

Bulborbs possess large eyeballs in order to see in faint light at night. Because of this large size, the eyelids cannot close completely, and instead the Bulborb ‘blinks’ by stretching and contracting its irises.

The Burrowing Snarrow is an enemy that is referred to multiple times in the Pikmin games, but has never appeared in the series. Olimar states that the Snarrow greatly resembles the Burrowing Snagret, though they can be differentiated by the Snarrow’s bluish feathers and presence of wing and tail markings. Given its extreme similarity to the Burrowing Snagret, it’s likely that the Burrowing Snarrow is a member of the Snavian family.

In Pikmin 2, it takes only one Pikmin to carry Louie, while in Pikmin 3 it takes five. Olimar’s weight similarly fluctuates throughout the games, as it takes four Pikmin to carry him in Pikmin, one Pikmin in Pikmin 2, five in Pikmin 3, and three in Pikmin 4.

In Pikmin 3, the bottom of the Koppaites shoes are visibly dirty. This is most easily seen when a leader is sitting down during their idle animations.

White Pikmin and Winged Pikmin are the only two Pikmin types to have non-monochromatic bodies: White Pikmin have a purplish tint on their hands and feet, while Winged Pikmin have dark pink stripes on their bodies.

In Pikmin games, the health of each enemy is stored internally, but can be accessed with the use of external tools such as memory readers. At 3000, the Puffy Blowhog has the highest single health value of any non-boss enemy in Pikmin 3, even surpassing the mini-bosses, whose weak points have health values of 2500 each.
