last song: easy lover by phil collins and philip bailey. it's a newer addition to my playlist and i've been listening to it on repeat lately, and it's even made it onto my work playlist for when i'm on dishwasher or delivery duty and need something upbeat to set the mood

last song you sang out loud: baile inolvidable… while pretending the broom was a stand-up mic 🧍‍♂️

favorite color: it's a never-ending battle between black and maroon, both in my head and in my wardrobe

last book: the divine comedy by dante

last movie: ''oh wow! i can't wait to rewatch my favorite movie! i said with joys''. i was then shot 57 times (and then we danced 2019)

last tv show: hacks!!! my friend recommended it to me, i've been binging it

sweet/spicy/savory: definitely savory. i can't really handle spicy food and sweet will kill me (i'm diabetic)

tea or coffee: tea, preferably jasmine tea - which might be surprising to those who know me irl considering i've been starting most of my mornings with 4 shots of espresso (do not ask me the color of anything before i have my 4 shots)

current craving: kabuli pulao. i will do anything to have one rn. it's one of the things i miss the most about home, my parents used to get it for us from a place near the local mosque every saturday

current obsession: euro truck simulator and basketball (the first one helps me blow off steam on weekdays and the second one on weekends)

earbuds/headphones: both? both. tho i mostly carry wireless earbuds with me

last place you went to other than home: hospital 😭 for my morning shift 😭

favourite crisp flavour: pringles original (behold mortals - the most basic human among all just spoken)

colour that looks good on you: black, i think? at least i hope so, because it's 50% of my wardrobe. the other 50% is a mix of maroon, dark blue, brown. i mostly wear dark colors

working on: a perfect pizza dough recipe. will i get there? i will keep you guys updated

if no one knows what’s going on with f1 academy right now hannes janker is a driving coach who is 28/29 and has groomed emma flebermayr, audi f1 academy driver. she is a 19 year old girl who has been “dating” him since she was 17. he’s been her coach since she was 16 or possibly younger. there are public pictures on their instagram of him AT HER HIGH SCHOOL PROM. this is actually the most fucking disgusting bullshit i’ve ever seen in my life.

i cannot believe people say they want to support young girls in sports and let this go on. i’m not here to shame emma but i AM here to shame everyone else involved. INCLUDING F1 ACADEMY.

i cannot believe they let him anywhere near her and that paddock, let alone post pictures of them like it’s some cute story. hannes janker i hope you die and i hope anyone who knew about this does as well. you cannot support girls and women in sports and let this shit go on. fuck you and your sport

again i’m not saying this to shame emma or share a story that belongs to the victim to share but i can’t sit back and watch this happen without the rest of the f1 community knowing about it especially as a woman in sports who knows abuse way too well.

going back to f1 academy i think mercedes showcasing doriane pin is doing wonders for the credibility of the series. f1a is unfortunately target of many unpleasant and deeply unfunny comments loaded with misogyny but mercedes by consistently and unapologetically posting doriane, celebrating her achievements and making her a part of team dynamics have made it so that a great deal of merc fans are supportive of her and replying with positive comments that outweigh the bad™ ones.

the visibility they have given her shows that a) they treat her as a part of the team and not a simple obligation to fulfil and b) because of a) encourages fans to treat her as a proper mercedes driver.

If more f1 teams got the memo not only would f1a gain way more credibility and respect -because it'd force the hand of misogynistic losers to either step away from their teams or get on with the program- and also will help in the long run to have more women competing in more junior categories because there's a realistic goal at hand (becoming part of an f1 team even if not directly driving their f1 car)
