me explaining to the end: The police, as an institution, is the consolidation of the armed working class into a single group that acts with impunity and defends the interests of the ruling class against their own. I don’t have a problem with guns, I have a problem with a state monopoly of violence. 

Literally yesterday, police entered a situation like the one described. It was in a bar, in the Chicago suburbs. A white patron opened fire in the bar, and a black security guard restrained the shooter. The guard was armed, and had a valid license. The police arrived and immediately shot the security guard. That’s why I’d rather cops be disarmed, even walking into a situation like this. An armed working class protects itself. An armed police force protects the boot on our necks.
