HI! This is the third time Iāve written this. But Iām a little out of practice with writing things (especially smuts) because Life Just Happened. Life happened all over the place, ngl. In this house we only loosely acknowledge current MCU canon. In my mind it's still around 2014-15. Winter Soldier just came out. We have such high hopes for the in-depth character arcs of our main babes, not to be turned into cash cows milked dry of any soul. The Avengers still all have their own floors in the tower and Bucky is coming to live in as Steeb's emo plus-one.

Okay. So I had this idea the other night that Darcy shows up at a FaMiLY summer wedding all pregnant. They kind of give her a hard time because OMG PREGANT, and then her ambiguous date shows up.
Cue following chapters being different āTHIS COULD HAVE HAPPENEDā takes on the event that led up to her current situation with different dudes. Maybe some of the same dudes. Iām kinda taking recommendations, ngl, but no promises that your recommendation will make it in.
ANYWAY. First chapter, Darcy/Clint. Stranded together, all kinds of smutty.

So itās been like a week since I made a sale (or any income as a result), and I really need to start figuring out xmasā¦ and other things, and so I figured Iād put the link to my etsy shop out there. Fanfiction Trope Scents - I have wax melts that i think smell like popular fanfiction tropes. They are pretty and shimmery, and I designed the labels myself.
Character Trope Scents - Likewise, I have melts that I think smell like popular character tropes. I have The Himbo, The Final Girl, The Muscle, etc.Ā
Diety Scents - The dieties i currently have scents for are: Aphrodite, Apollo, Freya, Hades, Hecate, Loki, Medusa, The Morrigan, Persephone, and Poseidan. I also have Odin and Thor as little sample shots. (Thor smells so good, I actually have some of it in my melter right now)
Horror Movie Trope Scents - Like it says, horror movie tropes <3
X-Mas/Yule Scents - I have some REALLY YUMMY smelling holiday scents. Personal faves around here are The Krampus (spiced cocoa/cream), Secret Santa (Cinnamon Apple, but thereās something else in there), and Sugar Cookie.
Literary Scents: Dracula characters. Iām going to be adding Alice in Wonderland scents soonish, but they arenāt ready yet.
I also have Fairytales & Pirates. Iām out of Blackbeard currently, but I pour more this week as soon as my oils come in.Ā
Also also I have twenty dollar mystery boxes that come with five mystery bars wrapped up.Ā I have one for horror movie tropes, one for character tropes, and one that includes everything else.Ā Itās a great deal if you donāt know which scents to buy and like being surprised.
Anyway, figured Iād link it up in the hopes that someone will see it. Iām unsure why Iām not getting traffic in my shop anymore, but who knows.Ā

This really freaking annoys me. If youāre in charge of a movie franchise then it is your job to embrace every character, to help them grow and overcome their differences. But no, NO! These asshats kill off every single character that they hate and are acting like complete babies just because they donāt like them. If you donāt like them so much then fuck off! Go and work on something else! Just stop ruining the MCU!!!

On the bright side, knowing the directors actively hated half the characters they were working with leaves me feeling 0% hesitant to ignore every single bullshit character move they made! š

Look, I have my differences with the LOTR movies, but you can see in every frame the sheer overwhelming love for the story that went into those movies. On genuinely every level. Every person involved with the production of those movies loved what they were doing and were working passionately, and it shows.Ā
The disregard that leaks through parts of the MCU, two of the new Star Trek movies, and the new Star Wars trilogy really is baffling to me. So many people love these franchises and would have lovinglyĀ poured their heart and soul into them. And filmmakers who just didnāt care were handed these films?? Imagine what we could have gotten if actual fans had been allowed to make these movies.Ā
Oh wait, I donāt have to imagine. People who love these franchises and these characters put their tiny amounts of free time and overwhelming effort into producing fanfiction and fanart for these characters every day. I could go on AO3 right now and in half a dozen clicks get sweeping, beautiful, poeticĀ treatises on the human condition written through these āVerses. Vast arrays of adventures starring these characters, and the characters themselves would be lovingly adored by their writers. I could enjoy content made by people who care.Ā
These directors and producers donāt deserve to be handed these franchises and they donāt deserve the paychecks they receive for half-assing their way through them. Not when fans produce outstanding content every day for free, just out of passion alone. This is ridiculous, can Hollywood please start putting people who actually care about the characters in charge of the movies? Please? I promise Iāll go back to buying movie tickets if I think the characters will be treated fairly by their narratives.Ā
That explains why, despite my incredible geekiness, Iāve been meh about seeing these movies. The contempt showed.
