places to donate to help puerto rico’s current water crisis and general aid for urgent help:
• plenitud pr: helps puerto rico with water security, specifically rainwater harvesting and filtration. donate any amount.
• project pr relief (currently paused): dedicated to providing water directly to residents. donations currently halted as they sort through and deliver supplies.
• excinternational: an organization raising money for water supplies, necessities, senior care and families in need. if you know any family in puerto rico in need, you can provide their information to the organization and they will send in any supplies.
• pr x pr relief and rebuild fund: dedicated to providing clean water, food, fuel, renewable energy snd agriculture to people of the island.
• agua para nuestra gente: emergency relief initiative raising money for at least 100 families in pr to assist in water distribution, senior and child care, etc.
even informing yourself helps. currently there’s been flooding of sewage water on the streets, intense forest fires and many businesses that have undergone more than 100 days without water. the system implemented by the governor of a schedule has been nothing but a failure. any help is appreciated.
