Dearest xELF/Half Blooded ELF

Honestly, this has been bothering me for quite a long time. I should’ve shrug it off like I usually do but idk why I can’t anymore. I felt this urge to spit it out.

Can someone enlighten me if there’s an official memo that mandates an “old” fandoms to act mature and professional? Like where did you guys get that idea? I mean yea obviously we shouldn’t be bothering ourselves w/ other fandom’s issue and we should refrain ourselves from getting into fan-wars but then again, who the heck gave you the right to dictate what should we or how would we act? So freaking ridiculous. Mind you people, our fandom doesn’t consist of professional ahjumma’s and ahjussi’s only. Reality check ... take me as an example, I’m already a 27 y/o and yea somehow you can call me professional🙄 but still from time to time I act and think like a 14 y/o one ... so

how much more if your fangirl heart take over your mind and soul?!

Undeniably, I felt somehow sad each time I saw a post from those bunch of xELFs or those “not-so-longer-pure-blooded-ELFs” talking crap about my fandom. Like sweetheart, whether you admit it or not, once in your “fangirling life” ... you labeled yourself as an ELF. You once laughed, cried, trolled and fought haters with us. Not bec. you got yourself a new fandom that doesn’t mean you can act like you we’re NEVER been part of us. Calling your previous fandom “that fandom”, “this fandom”, “yung fandom kasi nila”, “ganyan talaga sa fandom na yan” etc. pinches my heart.

Truth of the matter is, there are several times I dislike this fandom and countless of time that I entertain the thought of leaving esp. when we’re clashing or having an internal war. My fandom is not perfect and still way far from being one. We got looooots of flaws. There are times that we’re re not unified. There goes this only 12, only 13, a pure ELF but anti-Kangin and anti-Sungmin exist. K-ELF vs Int’l-ELF. And we will always have this keyboard and baby bra warriors etc.

But then even with all those imperfections, at the end of the day, I realized that I genuinely received the love and comfort with the same fandom that I sometimes dislike.

Oooopsie, I got carried away again!

Oh well, to make this long post short: STOP INSULTING YOUR PREVIOUS FANDOM JUST TO BOAST YOUR NEW ONE!

1. Cut your hair every now and then. Fresh starts are always nicer than you think. Who needs split ends anyways. 2. Pick a song you really like. Listen to that song a lot. And I mean a lot. Dance around your room naked to that song, beat the song lifeless till it annoys the hell out of you. Then pick a new song and go through the same process. We all need to really hear music, we need to understand what the song we are listening to is really about. 3. Paint your toes black, make it as perfect as possible. Then, scratch it off. Remember nothing is permanent. 4. Go on a run with your dog. Try to race him and beat him. Realize you can out run many things. Then go back and pet your dog, realize that some things you need to go back for. 5. Decorate a plain backpack. Glue on sparkles, glitter, diamonds, newspaper and magazine clippings, lace & ribbon, anything else that may fancy you. Remember, you don’t have to be the same person you were a minute ago. 6. Buy some pretty lights and string them up in your room. Turn off all the lights except for one when you go to bed. Remember it isn’t always dark and lonely. Change your perspective. 7. Lay outside one night. Breathe in breathe out. Accept that you are only one person and cannot do everything at one time. You can take your time. The creator of the stars you’re looking up at did not do it all in one day. Pace yourself. 8. Get up every morning and stand in front of the mirror. Naked, fully clothed, backwards, upside down, who cares how, just do it. Observe yourself. Notice the wrinkles under your eyes from laughing a lot. Count your freckles. Admire your ass. Then name 3 things you love about yourself. You need to love yourself.
