Doodle dump on Post It and loose leaf 🎶

Explanations and thoughts below 👇🏽

1. Post it turned sketch

Lovey dovey HaruMachi keeping it on the down low in the modern days. Doodled and ended up really liking it, fleshed it out some more in ProCreate. It got double digit likes on twitter, so sharing it here too :) (my following is TINY, breaking past 10: wow a hit tweet for me lol) . Hoping to turn it into a finished piece, it needs more work.

HC thought: they are very much crazy for each othe but people don’t get it and they don’t care to explain it. But they are nations, so optics are to be considered, their relationship kept is far away from prying eyes 🙂‍↕️

2. Post It doodle - sleepy Vanya and sleeping Fedya

I was dying at work, I have a really bad sleep schedule, and thought to use Ivan to express the exhaustion. They’re working overtime, and Alfred finished already, just clinging to a tired but busy Ivan.

Alfred has the special ability to fall asleep anywhere, someone kick him awake 😒

3. Post it doodle - “wake up it’s time to go~”

End of the work day; Ivan ended up dozing off. Alfred helped finish the remaining work & gently woke his man up. Time to go home 🏠

4. Post it doodle - “heh” smug Alfred

He did something to feel accomplished, and he wouldn’t be America if he wasn’t peacocking about it. Brat.

5. Post it doodle - happy 2026 Earth day

I totally forgot this was a thing; pulled a quick Ivan with Hetalia Harvest outfit. I used to hate it, but drawing it me appreciate that silly hat. Ivan definitely had a major green thumb, he never let go of the yearn to till the soil.

6. Post it doodle - safe and warm

The best place to be must be a plump Ivan lap. Lucky Alfred ☺️

7. Rough under sketch - reunion

HC: in 1863 they were already in a relationship but on the downlow (always and forever 🥲), and being able to show support during the civil war with just two ships was more than Alfred expected. Ivan made the trip personally, against direct orders. The reunion on the harbor is what I’d like to make from this rough under sketch.

Bonus! This is one example of the many redraws I had with the mini comic. Freegiftjones has a manly Russia, but not too rough, slightly melancholy without being delicate.oh man. Thankfully my twitter buddy chimed in when I was angst-ing online, so picked one and moved on.

Thanks for the new follows and likes! I’m happy my doodles were enjoyed, I’ve been busy with school and work, and fitting in some time to draw is difficult.

Update: I am still working on the mini comic, and I’ve learned a lot of what NOT to thanks to it lol (always have the under sketch FULLY done; use varied line weights; have a background prepared; keep a reference sheet to maintain consistency in proportions and tons more)

That’s full work- not idle time, real work time holy JEEBUS. I’ve never worked this long on one piece, whoa.

Still have about 30% to work. No wonder I was burning out 🥺

A pic breakdown, random thoughts w/HC:

1. Gif:

Alfred is hard at work after breaking night playing video games. Kinda dozed off there- hit his head on the wall. Ouch.

I projected on Alfred what happened to me 🙈 I broke night drawing, I fell asleep while working and SLAM, at the library. People asked omg are you ok? Yes, no worries, only a bruised ego 🐒

My 2nd gif ever 🥰 my first was 3 years ago, relearned how and drew in 20 min 🙌

2. Doodle: Russia plushie I want to sew 1 day.

Alfred has it hanging off his bag, & Ivan has a mini America on his backpack. They were gifts from Gilbert a long time ago; Christmas presents to the G8 at a UN meeting. Gil is massively talented at everything he does, even plushie making 😄; Ame & Rus traded theirs w/each other🌻 🍔

3. Alfred working remotely on a hotel bed.

Don’t mind the crap background; it was a sketch done between back to back to back conference calls 😵‍💫 my work back log is growing 😭 pro: I can sketch and no one sees me! Con: I’m chained to the phone and Teams 🙂‍↕️

4. Lunchtime

It's Alfred's third sandwich. Ivan's already done, just waiting patiently. He doesn't mind, but the speck of mayo on Alfred's lip does bother him.

I realized it was the first day of spring after finishing the Italys picture and was like “omg I NEED to draw something” it’s HaruMachi day- ‘this hole was made for me 🌀’! Screw everything on my plate’- tried to do it one day but c’est impossible ☠️ Real life and responsibilities kinda stopped me 🫠.

The lyrics feels like post 2001, when they’re rebuilding trust and (in my HC) together after everything, in secret 🥲

Happy (BELATED) birthday Italy(s) 🎉 🇮🇹 🎂

I used the current Ballet-core merchandise line for their outfits, Romano didn’t get one so I inverted Feli’s fit colors :)

I found out on 3/16 about their bdays and tossed Alfred & Ivan to the side to finish this ASAP; I got so engrossed on the tiramisu coloring that I missed 3 train stops LOL

Green x Melon colorway was hurting me- I shifted towards using seafoam instead (my fav color 💞).

I want to edit even more but I don’t have references n it’s gonna get wonkier, so

Was meant to be a quick thing but once you start you just don’t stop 😗

I had an idea and was working quickly but once I got to Ivan I got into flow state, and I’m sorry Alfred I didn’t take the time for your hair but I couldn’t help it- working on Vanya is like watching angels sing. Or some poetic crap idk. I spent an ungodly amount on getting his cheeks and strands jusssst right, only for it to muddle on exporting lol

Mfw; Vanya, I worked hard to not disappoint your beautiful face - can’t let him down! Life has let him down enough already lol

The fics I’m writing will put them thru a lot; don’t hate me Alfred n Ivan lol. I’m pretty annoyed with how Alfred turned out, but I think I didn’t do too bad on my baby girl Ivan.

I’m leveling up- I managed to finish a concept, drawing, & color pic in under 2 hours. My mind is blown. Had to ignore my instincts to correct and recorrect; not great but not bad work imo

I drew n posted this post because a cold bucket of fear was thrown- apparently the Notes app has a limit; my writing was literally being deleted as I was typing ☠️

It looked possessed; screenshot and force closed; idk how much got deleted. I broke it into pieces, hopefully it won’t happen again.

The thought of losing all. Those hours of writing. Broke my brain.

So curious to know how many words long is each fic; I spend days on each but when I posted 1 on AO3 it was a measly 700 words smh

I’m working on breaking up the WIP to be able to post SOMETHING before the ghosts of iPhones past possess my notes again.

I’ve slept a total of 5 hours in the last 2 days.

Again, thank the heavens for Celsius; way more potent than espresso

It’s my first smut, fic, fluff, comedy, angst, historical writing. Mucho anxiety.

It’s really hard to finish what I start cuz my brain goes everywhere and can’t focus. I was taking meds and tho it helps with focus, it doesn’t do much for drawing.

“Dr. I need meds that will help me draw at non-crazy hours of night and will let me bring more Russia / America to life. Very important need.”
