Chocolate mousse birthday cake :)
Fresh right out of the oven baguette. These 2 loaves of bread took a good 20 hours to make. I started the starter last night at 10 pm and I just pulled them out of the oven 30 mins ago. Oh man but it was totally worth it. They are delicious I already started munching on them. hehe =]
I'm going to make them into sandwiches for my boyfriends lunch for work tomorrow I hope he enjoys all my hard work.
DIY Cake Stand
These days I have a huge obsession with cake stands they are oh so cute I just want them all. While I was going through random blogs the other day I found this amazing post on how to make them on your own and I knew right away I had to make them. I think now I'm gonna be obsessed on making them and also you can save a lot of money making them yourself. It's very simple and you don't need a lot of supplies for this project (which is always the best).
Step 1. Go out and get supplies. - Plate - Candle Holder or any other base you like - Super Glue - Spray Paint (optional)
I found this cute plate and candle holder at a local thrift store I absolutely loved the holes on the plate. The plate was $2.99 and the candle holder was $1.99 isn't that a steal.
Step 2. Clean and spray paint the plate and base if you want. I would recommend you giving it at least 2 coats but make sure it dries completely before painting on another coat.
Step 3. Glue the base to the plate your done. Whoo Hoo wasn't that easy =] I'm absolutely in love with my new cake stand. I can't wait to bake something to display on it soon.
Food Safety Warning: DO not place any food directly onto the cake stand. Make sure to use some sort of liner.
With Valentines day around the corner I decided to make some cute simple heart cookies for my bf. Even though I'm pretty sure it'll be all eaten way before Valentine's day haha =] I absolutely love the little gift box I found at a local dollar store. The way you package your goods make a huge difference in your presentation I think. I hope he enjoys the cookies I baked for him <3
So glad to have my kitchen aid back. There has been a huge change in my life. I recently moved from LA to Seattle. I had to ship my mixer and it has finally arrived so I had to check if it was in good condition so I decided to bake up a batch of oh so yummy brownies. My mixer seems to be perfectly fine =]

Wedding Cake - Final
I can't believe I'm almost done with school it seems so surreal to me hehe =] This was my last project all I have left is to turn in my portfolio on Monday.
Coconut Macaroons dipped in Chocolate. We used to make these at school all the time and I love them. But I can't make them at home because it is so hard to find macaroon coconut since its different from the shredded coconut they sell at the stores =[
My first ever Chocolate Show Piece!! Chocolate frames painted with cocoa butter with a chocolate flower. Hmmm now what do I do with it? It's just sitting here in my room right now. I'm just glad it's not summertime or else it would've melted by now haha
Happy Birthday to my Mommy <3 this is the birthday cake I made for my mom. It's a white cake filled with white chocolate buttercream and fresh raspberries and blackberries. Yum I can't wait to taste it after dinner.
Caramel Mousse Plate Up - Caramel mousse flled with hazelnut cremeux. With a chiffon cake moistened with caramel simple syrup.
Hazelnut Caramel Torte - Chiffon cake moistened with caramel simple syrup. Filled with a merungue disk, chocolate ganche, caramel mousse and hazelnut cremeux. Garnished with chocolate fans.
Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread - This is one of my favorite breads to make make. These bread also makes amazing french toast as well. YUM
Orange Cream Cake Genoise cake moistened with orange flavored simple syrup on top of a meringue disk filled with orange flavored whipped cream and orange segment. Iced with whipped cream and garnished with sliced almonds.
One of my classmates had an order for an autumn theme baby shower cake and she needed some help so I went over to give her a hand. This is how the final product came out. :)
