mirrors and confusions - part 1 (Clemont x Ash)
one day, Ash and Clemont travelled to a city being located in western Kalos, where they discovered a cave. both guys recently won a competition for their cutest pokemon: Ash’s Pikachu won the first rank, while Clemont’s Dedenne reached rank 2.
black and dark-blue colours were surrounding both 21 year-old guys, while walls with reflections were getting their attention. gently touching the surface of these walls, they’re getting to a specific crystal. it somehow seems different than the smaller ones they saw before.
“Clement, maybe we should pass route 11 more often to visit such amazing places like this even more often?”, Ash suggests. Clement was also stunned by this cave’s appearance in general and don’t think about leaving it soon.
Ash’s Pikachu seems to notice a sudden sound and chu’s it to his trainer. Ash lets Clement know about it in human language and they decided to let Pikachu get closer to that sound. Dedenne is still carried around in Clemont’s backpack, while both human can now locate that sound too ...”it seems like some drops?”, the blonde guy mentions when getting closer to the object which causes that noice.
there’s that huge crystal in the corner of this cave, which surface is surrounded by shining drops. Ash carefully moves his hand closer to that crystal to feel the drop’s liquid “it seems ...somehow cold”, he mentions. Ash tries to get some more of this liquid covering his skin, it makes him shivering out of nowhere ...while Clemont asks Ash, if he would be curious about its taste too? Ash nods.
both guys were sipping some of the crystal’s fluid out of Ash’s palm. some moments later, they slightly feel dizzy, but they regain control again. their look faces the crystal, but now they can see their mirror-self in it. “how could be miss to see that before”, Ash and Clemont were wondering now.
the hands of both humans were touching the crystal’s surface, while Pikachu was sitting on Ash’s shoulder and Dedenne was still sitting inside Clemont’s backpack.
a strange feeling seem to overcome all four of them. they’re automatically closing their eyes, like falling into a deep slumber ...while the next thing they could remember, was laying onto the floor.
when waking up, Clemont notices his backpack laying in the corner and Ash’s Pikachu was missing.
Clemont and Ash were hurrying to the backpack looking for Dedenne. it was still there, also waking up, yawning and being happy to see them.
together they’re trying to find Pikachu, while also wondering what happened before. somehow none of them could remember how they even get there, only that they were entering an amazing cave ...and like a blackout, there’s nothing after that moment until now.
Ash and Clemont decided to leave this place and the city they’re entering seems new to them. also they don’t recognize any people there, the language seem to be somehow different too.
getting hungry they’re heading to a place where pokemon-centers could be located and they found a restaurant, but it’s appearance look slightly different than they’re expecting it. Ash just hopes that it’s no trap made by Team Rocket or their Meowth and warns Clemont to be careful entering it.
“it seems to be safe, I can see nurse Joy and her Blissey looking real”, both guys were mentioning. people were entering and leaving that building, while Clemont and Ash were getting closer to Joy, trying to let Dedenne explain their situation and maybe Joy could understand its language (they’re trying to ask for a place to rest, eat and sleep for that day)?
Joy nods, while speaking in a unknown language to her Blissey. it seems to be happy as always and trying to collect the ordered items ...at least both guys were assuming that so far.
Blissey handed out delicious-looking prepared meals with a different variety of flavoured drinks. Joy smiled and Clemont tried to offer poke-dollars, while Blissey looks somehow confused to Joy ...”they don’t seem to know this kind of currency”, Ash assumes?
Clemont and Ash tries to find an empty seat to consume their food and drinks. the clock seems to start a specific noise and everyone starts to leave without a word, just packing their belongings.
Joy seems to turn-off the lights and wanting to close the doors within the next couple of minutes, so both guys were heading outside. they’re trying to find a place where they could relax ...when they’re reading ”Shalour City” on a sign. while they’re wondering about the strange arrangement of the letters and why they could even read that text, if everything else seem to be written and everyone else seem to talk in an unknown language yet?
still both found a quiet place and after some sips of their drinks, they seem to notice that their body seem to convert this liquid faster than they’re expecting ...so they’re trying to find a place to relief themself, but also trying to hide their need to let others of this city know about it. they also seem to be shy taking about it in-front of each other. even talking about it in public won’t make that much difference because of their language, so only Dedenne could sense and communicate with Clemont, while Ash couldn’t actually hear it (except if Clemont would reply to Dedenne).
