feeling very “this is the first day of my life” at the moment. today is the day i start working on my dissertation, rather than my prospectus or working-on-preparing-to-work on my dissertation.
probably also the last hot coffee of the season. it’s cool and rainy, but not so cold that i can’t sit outside and listen to the rain on the awning.

26.04.2025 // 12/30: Finished the first lection of my literary anthropology course today and collected possible ideas for a paper. Still have to make notes though but that's something for another week. Now it's time to rest a bit.

Some snapshots of my commonplace. It's been a while since I've ventured on here. There is much to say, so much that any words elude me frankly. I'm in busy months, critical phases and haunted by the way we keep trying to accelerate the world and how more and more people find that technology cannot really help their brains move as fast as the world demands, because it is not a pace at which life can be lived. It's a simulacrum of life. My commonplace is boring, it's mostly walls and walls of text and I frequently wish it was faster to copy things down. And the very second such a thought crosses my mind, I realise why I'm doing this again in the first place.
