the ambiguity of the truth of the roy childhood is such a well-written mystery of details sprinkled into the show like roman doesn't clearly remember the dog pound game while connor has a clear recollection - kendall remembers stuff but doesn't want to talk about it - shiv casually mentions roman being beat and the whole waystar team doesn't bat an eye - it's so tragic but it's very well-written
