And we can mark these people with something wrong with them by catching them on these easier-proved charges. Rape is hard to prove in court, proving soliciting prostitution is easier. In turn, proving rape against someone who already has a record of sex crimes (including solicitation) is easier than someone who society let get away with other charges. Anybody arguing for being kinder to people committing "lesser" sex or sexual crimes is paving the way for them to get away with "greater" sex or sexual crimes.

On the flip side, you can compare and contrast the psychology of the johns with that of the prostitutes, and you come to realize there's just no way these two groups of people deserve the same moral condemnation and legal punishment. And yet, nobody is too worried or wants to protect the "potential" of the prostitute like that of the john, who poses a much more serious risk
