hi!! so i'm listening to "oh no!" (your arospec playlist from a recent post) and mirrorball came on and i uh.. loved that song when it came out, but didn't think of it as a relevant aro-y song until now. listening to it now with my aroace identity in mind, it definitely resonated with me in a couple of different ways. i'm happy to add it to the mental list of songs, so thank you! :) if you're comfortable sharing, what personally made you add it to the list?

about it fitting with the aro experience, i think the line that most stuck with me was “I can change everything about me to fit in”

being aromantic in other social circles is hard in that way, we dont quite fit with the straights but neither with queer allos

i think we’re all mirrorballs in the way that we’re not represented in media, so we’re in this fight to appear to the rest of the world, trying to make ourselves interesting and not just a label that doesn’t matter
