Hi! You can call me PlotHound or Milly, whichever you prefer. This blog is about G/T. In other words, here you can find g/t related reblogs, thoughts, writing and art. My own works are mostly about my OC's and random scenarios that I fixated on enough to bring to life.
*What is g/t? - G/T stands for giant/tiny. It's content that focuses on the dynamics between big and small people, creatures and things.
Types of g/t content here might include:
Fluff, romance and relationship centered works
angst, character dynamics
thoughts on how some g/t things (And magic systems) work, worldbuilding
(soft) v.ore, and related actions. I approach this from a dynamic, comfort/facing fears perspective.
This blog and my content elsewhere might also include occasional mature topics such as:
written (or drawn) depictions of violence, character actions that can be interpreted to depict mental health issues, unhealthy dynamics and mentions of sexual topics.
Read the TWs, (the tags, the blurbs of my books) on my posts and content, especially if you want to avoid certain things mentioned above. A lot of the content here will be totally SFW, but when it is not, I will tell you about it.
I'm prone to writer's block and sudden rushes of inspiration, so don't expect a consistent schedule.
You can find me and my stories on Wattpad over here. (The writing of my book over there is currently on break)
Why is this a g/t blog?
I like the symbolism and the fun power dynamics of g/t. Here seems like a good place to share such things with like-minded people.
(will update this post if I find ways and time to improve it)
so there is G/t the giant tiny and there is gt the cars. I occasionally see the cars and im betting they occasionally see some of us so how about a story that combines them.
A tiny could live in a mechanics shop and slowly lerns about cars becoming less scared of them and eventually starts helping to repair them when the mechanic isn't looking
Or a tiny living in a house with a car enthusiast, they eventually gets caught and the the car enthusiast could take them out in joy rides and rant about cars (to a tiny that might still be afraid of them or is only in it for the dairy queen stops)
A tiny that would secretly watch racing while the human is asleep and gets caught one night only to find out their favorite racer is the same human that they have been borrowing food from. And then the human could bring the tiny to where their race car is and the tiny can go all fanboy while the human watches with a smile trying not to laugh.
warning: v.ore talk, character dynamics related to it play a central role in this. If you don't want anything to do with those topics ignore this post.
Hello, just wanted to let you know that I have been slowly writing a g/t choose your own adventure / interactive fiction story.
I've thought for a while of how and when I should announce this, but I'll just do it now since I can say that the story can be read in the nearish future.
The premise:
You are a regular human who barely even knows that borrowers exist in fiction, let alone in the reality of your world. Then, one day you get shrunk down to roughly 3 inches, the size of a finger.
And here's the thing, borrowers do actually exist in this case. And the man who ends up offering help to you is viscerally aware of that as he has the instincts to hunt down and eat borrowers. A âpredatorâ is what borrowers and anyone else aware of his kind would call him, but you don't know anything about that either.
So, this boils down to clueless tiny vs. hyperaware human, and results in a story of two different worldviews crashing together as you try to find the best course of action.
Consists of ~4 intertwined routes, one of which is romance and one of which is v.ore centered. 6 endings in total.
The story is going to be mature in the sense that some chapters will include arguments, slight violence and other mean things for the lack of a better word, a bit of nsx v.ore (it'll be mostly route specific and present in roughly 10% of the chapters) and perhaps some deeper conversations and thoughts on the situation you are facing.
As a whole it will be relatively sfw as there won't be smut or bloodshed. I won't write anything too graphic, just enough to fulfill the angst and horror loving side of me alongside the fluff and comfort.
///
This idea struck me near the time I made this blog and now I'm in the process of fleshing out and polishing the story to completion. To be honest, I'm not sure how long it will take until it is ready to be played/read. Wishful thinking tells me it could be possible in two weeks, but it's more likely to take a few months.
There is essentially a net of linked story posts on a separate, customized blog. I'm still learning new things about the two characters and their dynamics now that I'm filling the posts with more defined dialogue and details.
As a last note: this project is a mixture of my own gt trope fixations so it's definitely not for everyone, but then again I feel like when I open my dashboard and see your wonderful gt prompts and scenarios, every once in a while I just go "Oh that kinda happens in chapter n of Vial... I should continue writing it."
So look out for updates if the premise speaks to you on some level. I hope this introductory ramble made some sense.
A bit of a late mention but I'm on artfight with my mixture of fantasy OC's, a couple of shifters included.
Probably won't post much about it here but feel free to check me out there. I'm trying to improve my digital art and just enjoying the process at my own pace. Will prioritize revenges!
Warning: merfolk anatomy essay, skeleton and cartilage discussion
While drawing my merfolk OC's I discovered an interesting detail about how artists choose to depict merfolk. An ordinary fish-based mermaid has a horisontal fin, the movement of which corresponds to how human hip and knee joints move, and also to spine stability if the whole swim pattern is considered.
Shark-based merfolk on the other hand... Most if not all shark merfolk art I was able to find had a vertical tail fin, and were depicted swimming by swinging their hips sideways. (not that ideal for the spine of the human upper body, is it?)
And the thing is, both sharks AND most fish to my knowledge have a vertical tail fin. Only the non-shark merfolk have this detail changed to fit the anatomy of the upper body.
Now my goal isn't to criticize anyone or their art, all of this is fiction so do what you want! Both versions can definitely look awesome in drawing and movement. It's just so intriguing to see how our minds apparently have engrained the VERTICAL shark tail as a key characteristic of sharks, but not of other fish.
Then again, the issues with skeletal consistency all boil down to which bone structure do we imagine merfolk to have.
Are fish merfolk marine mammals? -That would be similar to whales, which have HORIZONTAL tail fins.
Do shark merfolk have a different bone structure compared to other fish merfolk? What if they have cartilage as at least a partial replacement for the bones of the human part?
Which half is the anatomically dominant part of the body for internal structures in merfolk, fish or human? Or do merfolk have chronic back and hip problems because of the inconsistensies? Or do they just have bodies with a long spine and no notable leg structures? That would make sense but wouldn't necessarily exclude back problems from sideways tail movement.
Personal headcanon from that: the human upper body was originally a decoy. It lures humans in like in mythology, or simply camouflages the intelligent fish so that people wouldn't want to fish for merfolk meat.(What benefit do clumsy human body parts add to an otherwise hydrodynamic fish? The only other plus seems to be hands with thumbs.)
Speaking of hydrodynamics, merfolk probably use their mouths more as a tool than humans on land. While swimming the head is often the first thing in front, unless the swimmer is reaching forward with their hands. Using the mouth to hold things would leave the hands free for swimstrokes.
Lastly, I present to you shark eyes + human eyes = a horrifying face or extremely cool looking eyes with active nictating membranes (third eyelids).
Or in other words, a g/t first meeting underwater. Angsty but ends on a lighther note.
~3k words
warning: injury and blood, slight mawplay.
Alta floated near the seafloor and watched how little fish dug holes into the sand. They decorated their home with stones to stop the weak currents from filling their creations with sand again.
There were thirteen of them. Grey but glimmery in the sunlight that reached the bottom.
These fishes were new and intriguing to her as they lived here out in the open, further away from her home coast. With these ones Alta stuck out, her purple and pink tail being the only colorful thing as far as the water let her see.
But it didnât bother her, being alone was refreshing once in a while. Her peers had just continued with their daily swim races around the stone pillars of their mazelike home. No one wanted to come here with her. It was too bland or too far from the coast. Nobody really goes out this far. Or they just didnât prefer her company, that could be it too. They always nagged at her how she won too many races, cheated in them although she really didnât. Heck, Alta didnât even win them that often, some of them just singled her out when she did. When she had a good swim day.
So now she had decided to sate her curiosity of the outer seas on this particular good swim day. And it sure was relaxing to look at the new fish that circled around each other, perhaps they were sharing some thoughts? One more of them appeared from the holes and joined their little dance. Then they slowed down. Was it a part of their routine? No, Alta felt a weight of unease along her skin too. She whipped her head around to look at her surroundings. A quiet stillness fading to murky blue, but something was off. She caught movement in the corner of her eye and turned to look at the fishes again, but they were gone. Sand floated around the holes.
She too dashed away from the holes with a powerful flick of her tail, and not a moment too late. Her quickened swimming was followed by a trashing rumble of something fast behind her.
Alta sped up, swam as fast as she could, but the thing chasing her stayed right behind. With a quick turn she managed to peek at it.
It was slender, at least four times her size and had a set of needle-like teeth. It swam with a clear goal, shaking and twisting its dark green body vigorously to reach the mermaid in front of it. She had no idea what it was, but she knew she couldnât get caught.
Twists and turns seemed to confuse it a little, make it fall more behind. And thatâs all she could do for the time being. The sea floor was truly empty of any obstacles. Her heart sunk as she realized that this was a matter of endurance.
Her only hope was that it would give up before she does.
She kept swimming, although the growing distance from the coast made her even more uncomfortable. Swimming back home with this thing following her was out of the question, but Alta never intended to go this far. Gradually, she felt her sides begin to burn from exhaustion. Her adrenaline filled escape was recklessly tiring but itâs not like she could do something different.
The creature was still snapping its jaws right behind her. Alta swore she could feel the currents around the creature tickling her tailfin, and it made her heartbeat drum against her ribs at an alarming rate.
She dove right to the seafloor and muddied up the water with sand. It didnât help, the thing moved right through. She dodged turn after turn, momentarily gaining distance again.
Until her turn was too sharp, too close to the creature, and it managed to scrape her side with its teeth. Alta screeched from the sharp, tearing pain. Spasms of panic crept into her swimstrokes. She was bleeding, and it riled up the creature.
She felt like she should faint, throw up, do anything but swim but she knew she had to keep going, even with the sickening warmth flowing out of her wound into the water.
She would not make it back home like this, she knew that. Her swimming was far more choppy now, ridden with pain and fatigue. She wasnât even sure where the creature had managed to bite her, it felt like her whole side was on fire. Would she bleed out? No, thatâs irrational. She wasnât lightheaded or anything. Or was she?
But then Alta saw something in the distance, a shadowy rock formation. It was her only chance to lose it.
Alta swam towards the obstacle now frantic as the only things keeping her from slowing down were the sharp snaps of pain when the creature barely caught onto her tail fin and scraped the edge. She needed a place to hide, somewhere between the rocks that formed a blurry silhouette and cast her into a shadow.
Stopping would be a death sentence, but still Alta flinched when she saw two yellow glowing rings. Two eyes, wide enough for her to sink through. They were right in front of her, where there should have been dead-still stone. They were focused on the thing right behind her, that much she could notice before a strong current tugged her forward.
Alta shut her eyes out of instinct, her existence confirmed only by the soft click behind her and the scorching pain in her side. The water around the small mermaid stilled, leaving her disoriented.
Her tail brushed against something soft and warm underneath. It felt weird, so she trashed upwards and opened her eyes only to see pitch black darkness and hit something similar above her. She elbowed herself away from that but had to then accept that there really was no space. No waterflow from anywhere, moderately slimy surfaces that she could not avoid. It was too dark to see anything, but she could hear a periodic rush of water somewhere near. Her eyes widened.
Now it seemed like the other creature wasnât her problem anymore, but this was a much bigger issue. She had been trapped.
Trapped into the mouth of the yellow-eyed creature.
That thought was confirmed as whatever it was that had pulled her in her began to move fast. The momentum pressed her against the soft back of the cavern. She shivered and scrambled as forward as she could, reality setting in.
Howâno why was she alive?
She gasped in the water, unsure if the creature would even understand her.
âLet me out! Please!â she screamed. She reached forward with her hands, slithered against the momentum that pressed her against the back wall of this hostile cavern. Her palms hit smooth teeth emerging from the flesh underneath her, fingers slid upward to the pointed ends, nearly reached through but the creature pulled her backwards.
She let out a wail she had been holding in long enough at this point. This exploration had been going from bad to worse for a while.
âDonât eat me,â her voice broke into sobs. Then again, why was she even trying, it probably couldnât understand her let alone hear her.
The movement stopped, and any pressure around her eased.
Alta was thrown out past the teeth and blown against what she regognized to be cupped hands. The mer exhaled. Alta stifled her sobs and turned to look at her captor. His green hair flowed around his head like an overgrown raft of seaweed and cast shadows on his gray skin. His yellow eyes looked unnerving, ones of fish which nourish themself with the flesh of others.
He overall reminded Alta of a shark. A really big one. A beast of the seas which had a presence more akin to an unforgiving deity. She slowly backed away as much as his hands let her.
His voice was oddly calming, it filled the water around her in warm, rumbling tones.
But Alta ignored his words, frozen, staring at his teeth as he spoke. They were sharp, and looked exactly like shark teeth. She had been lucky she hadnât hit them. The outcome wouldnât have been pretty.
âDid you listen to me at all?â Alta met his gaze. Her hands twitched and anxiously grabbed at the water. She probably should have listened.
He sighed and slowly lowered his hands from behind her. âEither you didnât or you just canât speak at the moment, thatâs fine.â He paused, checking for eye contact. âI just want to make this clear, my way of saving you from that pesky thing was probably the worst way to do it, or at least you donât look to be doing too great right now.â He had an apologetic look on his face. It was more convincing than Alta would have expected.
âBut I have no intention to hurt you. You are safe now.â
The mermaid flicked herself further away, unsure if the distance really made any difference.
âYou donât look like I can trust you on that,â she said, wondering if the words she just blurted out were too harsh to be spoken from her position.
He blew air from the gills on his neck, which created a vibrating sound. Was it a laugh?
âWell Iâm sorry that I look like a leviathan.â A leviathan? She thought. She had heard so many stories of those creatures of the bigger oceans. Stories of mers bigger than whales, who rule the waters just as mercilessly as sharks do.
She tensed. âYou⊠are a leviathan?â Now that Alta thought about it, the mer in front of her matched the description frighteningly well.
"What else could I be?" Again Alta inched backwards. Where was she even? Was this actually worse than being chased by the previous creature?
âYou probably want to go back home. Youâve had a rough day.â
Well⊠Heâs definitely not wrong. He seemed to just look at her as she backed away, unfazed.
âYou're from the northern coast of the bay, right?" He tipped his head forward, apparently towards the north.
Alta was a bit further away from him now. The distance gave her some confidence so she asked âWhy do you think that?â It wouldnât be good if he knew about her home, of all the merfolk there.
"It's not the first time I've been at this bay. I just tend to keep my distance from the coast because your kind is awfully scared of me, and I donât see the need to bother you.â
Alta felt that she really should leave now that she might have somewhat of a chance. But she was curious. He hasn't actually said anything that would hint at her being in danger. "Why do you care about whether we are scared of you or not?"
He tilted his head. "I don't care if your kind is terrified of my kind. I think it's a good thing since there are others of my kind who would eat you for dinner without remorse." Altaâs heart skipped a beat.
"Are âare there⊠Could they come here? You're not one of them are you?" Her mind felt like it was again on the tipping point of becoming a panicky mess.
He looked to be wondering if the mermaid had listened at all before. "No they won't come here since this is pretty deep in my territory. And no, I already said that I won't harm you."
He glanced somewhere further behind Alta. What had happened to the other creature, she wondered. On a second thought, she didnât want to know right now.
âTo me you look like a smaller, maybe slightly friendlier version of me. Eating you is out of the question, itâd be sickening.â
That would explain why she was still here. Though now she really wanted to go home. The spot where she had been bitten had begun to sting more now that she wasnât swimming for her life. And her sides burned too. The chase had taken a toll on her.
"Uhm, I should probably get going, but what's your name?" Itâs hard to admit but the injuries reminded her that he had saved her, perhaps it would be polite to know who he was.
He smiled at her, cracking up the frightening exterior for a moment. "Levent, what's yours? And don't say your goodbyes just yet. I'll swim some of the way with you so you don't get attacked again."
Levent? Thatâs a little odd, perhaps itâs a leviathan name? Well, she probably couldnât avoid his further company even if she wanted to. And maybe it wouldnât do any harm at this point. "Alta. And, thanks?"
"You're welcome." He floated into a more horizontal position, now eye-level with her. "Lead the way.â
"Okay,â she said mostly to herself. She was a bit nervous to turn her back to him but started to swim towards the pointed direction of North. She didnât hear anything from behind her so she glanced back and there he was, following her.
Somehow, Altaâs heartbeat calmed down a bit. The only thing left was the pain that flared up on each tailstroke. She slid her hand against her side to feel for the damage and bit her mouth shut as the wound burned from the touch.
Alta looked back at it, seeing some deep red stained on a relatively shallow wound slightly below her hip. Some scales had been ripped, but it would heal. Her gaze traveled further back, and met the yellow eyes of her surprising protector. He kept his distance, keeping his eyes on her from a little less than his armâs length away. His tail was a distant shadow that slowly slithered behind him.
She turned her attention back to the front of her, wanting to shake off the feeling of being chased, even though the âchasingâ was friendly and much slower now.
âAre you doing alright?â Levent asked.
âWhat do you mean?â Alta shouted back at him. She was surprisingly out of breath.
âItâs just, youâre swimming a little funny.â His serious tone made her slow down a bit.
Alta was about to turn towards him, but he was quicker to act. As she looked back again a shadow cast over her. He had flicked himself to swim over her, gently twisting around above her. His tail was dark grey, ridges of membrane connecting his fins to guide the water around him ever so precicely. He lowered down and turned to face her straight ahead, his curved body flipping straight behind him to point the way she had been going.
A total U-turn.
Alta halted her movement in order to not crash into his face, and found herself holding her sides to cover her discomfort in front of his eyes. He glided closer, studying her.
Leventâs nose scrunched at the sight. âYouâre hurt, but the cuts arenât bleeding that much.â
âIâll be fine.â Alta said.
âBut youâre tired. Itâs a long way, Iâll help you.â
âI can swim,â She insisted nervously.
âYes, but youâre slow, and you move like youâre constantly trying to avoid pain.â
His right hand floated behind Alta and he bumped her against his palm. At first she tensed up again, but decided to let him hold her as the thin webs between his fingers circled her tail. It made her feel smaller than before in his presence. She hadnât really thought about it, but she was only half the length of his finger, not to mention that he had long claws. Alta was glad that he seemed to know what he was doing, as those things could have easily poked her.
An odd sense of relief washed over her as Levent turned to swim again, the combination of his fingers and the waterflow holding her in place and letting her rest.
He covered the distance far quicker than she ever could have. Alta was left to watch the seafloor go by as he held her in a gentle cupped hold, arms extended to rest against his sides as he swam forward.
The rush of water that traveled through his hand felt exhilarating, almost like she was the one moving at such speed, although in reality she wasnât moving much. His fingers and the web between them encapsulated her in a space from which she couldnât accidentally flow out of with the current. But she was sure that if he were to keep his hand like this, she could push herself out. She wasnât trapped.
The seafloor came closer, and the water let through more and more light. Eventually, Levent stopped. He brought her back up to his face and let go.
âI wonât come further,â he said. And with a good reason. He couldnât position himself upright here without surfacing. He wouldnât even be able to sit here without his head and shoulders over the surface. Because of that, he was left floating horizontally, trying to keep his presence as unnoticeable as possible.
Alta looked to where he had brought her. She could see the all-familiar rock formations in the distance. Just a little while away.
âThanks, thatâs okay. Iâll continue from here.â
He smiled with his teeth hidden. âDo me a favour, and donât come back out here. Youâre too small to do that safely. The thing that chased you isnât the only one eager to hunt you down.â
âIâll keep that in mind.â Alta said with honesty. The gash in her side was a constant reminder of how she screwed up today.
âGood. Swim safely.â
âYou too?â
Leventâs gills rumbled quietly, as he backed away. Alta found herself waving a goodbye to him. She suprisingly felt a sliver of gratitude and trust towards him regardless of his scary appearance. Then she swam back home, knowing that he didnât leave as she did, but watched her back for the time it took for her to swim out of view into the safety of the rocky bay. Alta turned to look back one last time, but he had disappeared into the haziness of the blue water.

Thank you for reading! The writing I originally had for this was OLD, and it was a bit of a struggle to rewrite. But it is how these two unlikely friends met for the first time and Iâm glad to have it finally finished.
Visual reference of Levent and Alta in this post, if that is of interest.
These two are merfolk characters from a short story I wrote a couple years ago.
The purple one is called Alta, and the green-haired guy is Levent. Alta is about half as tall as a human, around 75 cm or 30 inches. In my head she's the size of a seal or an otter. She lives near the coast, but has wandered to some deep waters for her big friend.
An average human would be slightly shorter than Levent's index finger, not quite sure how tall (or should I say long?) he actually is, but I imagine him to be around 45-50 meters, roughly 160 feet. For future reference that's a pretty standard size for my giant characters, but he is on the "taller" side because of his tail. Storywise he is a Leviathan-mer, mostly based on a shark but has some eel-like features. A big shark tailfin would be impractical at his size, so his tail fin is smaller, and the way he moves is more of a slither.
There will be more on how they met and such once I get my old writing edited and up to date.
Giants playing GAMES with their tiny friend/partner
(aka a fearplay goldmine presented to you by Mimi)
and because of the size difference, either the rules/structure changes, or the entire experience is heightened.
I will never get over the concept of a giant and tiny playing hide and seek together. Itâs so exhilarating, especially if the giant and tiny are good friends and just doing it for fun, but all of a sudden the tiny is like⊠âoh, this is making my heart beat really fast woah woah woah okayâ
When itâs the giantâs turn to hide itâs so cute and all âha! Found you!â But when the tiny is hiding itâs the tantalizing sound of footsteps, the giant crooning out to them, the whispered âGotcha.â Ooohohoh Iâm giggling.
We also have the classic âusing a tiny as a chess piece/player in a board gameâ and that never gets old.
Consider a variant to hide and seek: hot and cold. A group of giants or a mixed-sized friend group deciding where a tiny is going to hide, so on top of the rush that comes with knowing the giant is getting closer, thereâs also the added tension of knowing that EVERYONE in that room is guiding the giant towards them.
That trending poison-kiss/spot game? Hell yeah. When itâs the giantâs turn, theyâve got to verbally specify which part that was meant to cover since theyâre so small and the tiny needs to tell them if they were safe/right or not. When itâs the tinyâs turn, it might take a bit of extra time for them to GET to the spot they want, so maybe having to ask the giant to lift them up there. Giants having to pick a general region as their poison-zone rather than one spot so itâs more fair to the tiny.
Hear me out: hot potato. Practically a rollercoaster, you better hope you trust your giants if youâre gonna let them toss you around like that. The constant shift in hands, the voices singing the song and giggling as the tiny is passed around, getting near the end and being unable to cling because no giant wants to be the one who gets out. Being cradled and given a break when the round ends by the person who ended up with you.
Another variant of a trend; giant is blindfolded and rotates between holding a bunch of their tiny friends and has to guess which one theyâre holding. Itâs like that whole âholding hands and seeing if they can guess which one is their partnerâ trend. Vice versa is GREAT, too, tiny is blindfolded and has to guess which hands theyâre in.
Push-up contests. Just gonna leave that one there.
âEverything except a giant is Lavaâ
Kind of like Pictionary, but every giant has a tiny sitting on their head ratatouille style and this is played with a BIG mixed-sized friend group, so everyone is walking around and asking questions to each other to guess which tiny is tugging on their hair.
This one is SO g/t-frat-guy-esque, but hang-man with a twist: for every letter you get wrong, another tiny ends up pinned to the board by the back of their shirt. Extra points if the word is so obvious and the tinies are poking fun at them for not being able to guess it. Bonus creativity points if theyâre playing on a whiteboard and the tinies are being held up by magnet letters? Ex. A giant guessed âTâ but that was wrong, so weâre gonna grab a tiny and pin them to the board with the T-magnet/pin. A giant remembering âOh, wait! There actually was a Z in there,â and plucking the tiny off the board who got pinned for that letter a couple guesses back.
Marco Polo. Works best with one giant and multiple tinies for safety reasons.
Chicken fighting in the pool, two tinies each sitting on the shoulder of their giant while the giants are casually lounging beside each other. Itâs mostly focused on the tinies but theyâre using the giants as slippery terrain, trying to shove each other off. The fun part is being the person that loses, really, because they land into the pool with a plop! and are fished out by their giant who was just having a casual conversation throughout the whole game.
Tug of war but itâs like 20 tinies vs a giantâs non-dominant hand or just a single finger with the rope twisted around it.
Thumb war but itâs the ENTIRE tiny trying to pin the giantâs thumb down while the giant tries to pin them down with their thumb. Giant isnât allowed to use their other fingers to make it more fair.
Super durable tinies with strong guts being strapped into a Foosball table. Another roller-coaster kind of experience, added chicanery because tinies are definitely kicking their legs or using their hands to try and move the ball if itâs close to them but not quite reachable. A gear mechanism that locks certain rods if theyâve been used too often so the tinies donât throw up. Using a super soft/safer lightweight ball so no one is getting any concussions. Super reckless, super fun. The aftermath of being carefully unstrapped and given time to rest after the game.
Extreme trust-falls where a tiny closes their eyes and leans back off of a table/something they could get seriously injured from as a trust exercise, knowing their giantâs hand is behind them and ready to catch.
MAZE games. Four giants and four tinies. All the tinies start off in the middle of the maze while their giants are all talking over each other trying to tell them which way to go to get out of the maze, to the side that the giant is sitting out of. First tiny out, wins. Itâs tough because you hear your giant say âokay okay go left!â But another giant is louder and saying âRIGHT RIGHT RIGHTâ
More domestic/sweet; cooking competitions where giants try mini-cooking and then a tiny or multiple tinies rate their dish. Itâs sloppy and clearly made by giant hands but the tension and time crunch is fun.
FEARPLAY CENTRAL: a final note is another hide and seek variant; this time within a house/dollhouse. Time limit so the tiny actually has a chance to win, but they can hide anywhere in the house. The giant can reach in from anywhere with their hand and has to try and find the tiny without being able to see them. Knocking over furniture, pushing things around, blindly grabbing, the tinyâs heart literally pounding out of their chest. Bonus points if itâs a dollhouse and the giant wants a better grip so they just pick up the whole thing and set it in their lap as they continue to dig.
What ties all of these games together is those giggles. Oh my gosh. And for me personally itâs a lot more fun if this is actually done between friends or a giant and tiny that trust each other, because thatâs where the fearplay gets giggle-inducing. If itâs just for torture or punishment or bullying then itâs purely terrifying, but knowing itâs someone you love/care about is what makes that racing heart a heart thatâs beating with adoration as well.
On the other hand, though, who doesnât love a good misunderstanding? Tiny bursting into tears mid game because they didnât realize how terrifying this was going to be. The giant immediately dropping their playfulness and scooping them up to do something less exerting.
In conclusion everyone needs to consider the concept of g/t frat guys at least once. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Oohh, I'll add another one! This one goes by a lot of names: Statues, Red Light Green Light, or how I knew it as a child, Mirror.
A tiny will stand near a wall or otherwise far away from one or multiple giants. To begin, the tiny will turn their back to the giants, who will then try to get closer without being caught moving. Once the tiny decides to turn back around the giants have to freeze and stay still like statues. If the tiny notices movement (other than unavoidable breathing), the ones who moved must return back to the starting point. Eventually the tiny will turn away again, and the process repeats until one of the giants manages to poke the tiny.
With the roles reversed, a giant can lay down on the ground, or set their head down on a table. Once the giant closes their eyes the tiny (or tinies) will approach, and then freeze in place when the giant opens their eyes.
To make things easier for the "statues", the person who tries to notice movement can shout or say a cue such as "Red Light" as they turn to look, and "Green Light" as they turn away.
This game will boil down to trying not to laugh from the silly poses and the approachers not managing to stop in time, or everyone becoming jumpy from the possibility of being caught off guard, probably both. It's no wonder that there are horror games based on variations of both this and hide and seek. But then again, many of these games are a great way for unsure tinies and giants to get more familiar and comfortable with their size differences.
close platonic relationships in g/t are soooo underrated. the scale difference between characters makes everything inherently bodily.
if a tiny spends enough time with a giant, they begin to map out and learn the giants body in ways no same scale relationship ever would.
how the giant's shoulders shake when they laugh, the rise and fall of their chest when asleep, the shape of their palm, the drum of their pulse, the warmest spots on their body. that's so intimate.
trust is also amplified, obviously. the tiny is literally putting their life in somebody else's hands. it's so common in g/t for tinies to have a designated bigger person to be "their person". the default for carrying, shielding, protecting. even if it's never explicitly defined as an exclusive relationship/role, there is undeniably one person who gets more access to the tiny than anyone else. and that role is HUGE. bc with a size difference, there is no neat way to let somebody take care of you. you are passing the wheel in totality to somebody you trust not to mishandle your autonomy.
even in it's most swf non romantic form, g/t has an inherent power dynamic that will never neatly read as platonic.
even physical intimacy is extreme. the size difference dismantles everything culture has defined about platonic boundaries.
there's no soft kisses pressed to the places accepted as safe and platonic. there's not enough real estate for just the nose, temple, forehead, or cheek. it's a lips to whole face, maybe more.
kisses cover too much, hugs become enclosure rather than a mutual embrace. closeness isn't charged because practical care already requires it.
honestly scale makes everything feel primitive. trust and care get filtered through survival first, and the outcome is a dynamic that doesn't fit social norms and maybe doesn't care to.
nonsexual g/t almost transcends labels, tbh. platonic feels to small. romance implies intentions that aren't there. to define it would flatten it. it's bodily and intimate and special.
Do you ever pay attention to the slight tremors on outstretched fingers, especially when doing something precise? Well, a tiny will definitely notice those. Just imagine a giant reaching out their finger to meet a tiny's palm for something akin to a handshake, and the tiny just quietly notices the tremors and realizes how careful the giant is being.
Give me two borrowers that have been best friends since then were kids, having fun and borrowing together. Bonding over their mutual fear of humans.
They sneak out for the fun of it one night and find an artifact or smth and it isn't until they get into a secluded space INSIDE a human home when one of them touches it.
And they start growing. And growing
And suddenly it stops and they both there. The tiny is freaking out because theyre terrified of humans but also trying to comfort they're friend as they're forced to grapple with this knew reality of being about 30Ă(?) the size and trying not freak out their tiny friend more.
ERGHHHHH I LOVE IT.
Ive been thinking about this for a long time can you tell?
Yâall ever divert your path to go pick up your cat (or any pet), walk to a random place while petting them, and then plop them down in a random spot to continue whatever you were doing?
Yeah.
I bet a giant would do that too, causing their tiny friend to be utterly confused. No words spoken, theyâre just picked up and dropped off like nothing happened.
Just imagine the âwhere is your swordâ meme but itâs âwhy did you pick me upâ and obviously the giant is like âidkâ as they continue to go about their day.
A resting place, a warm "bed" for their tiny companion. A "lift" for when the tiny doesn't want to walk. But what if they don't want to be seen as a tool, as a playground, an object?
A "calm mountain who would never hurt a fly" but what if they're stressed daily because little people get too close and comfortable and they have to watch out so that no accidents happen?
...
An indestructible "protector", but what if they're tired of always being the only one who keeps the others safe?
Practically a "god", a "mythical being" because what else could they be?
A "maneating monster". But what if that's just something the tiny people made up without proof and kept spreading as the truth. What if the giant just wants a friend? But they still get called a "monster". And it fires back even with the slightest of mistakes: "moved their hand too quick so they clearly want to hurt me", "talked too loud so they're probably going to kill me" ...and so on.
Labels are hard to remove on one's own. In their mind the giant will always remember what they were called. They giant will always be the "monster" in the eyes of others, even thought they don't want to be. It's possible that the label never leaves their identity, even when the people do stop calling them by it.
The giant wants to be seen as who they are, a person. But how often does that really happen when no other "person" is like the giant? They will always be labeled by the people who don't know them personally and intricately. And the giant will learn to always expect it.
