Last September, Pure Noise Records welcomed Boston Manor to their family. The band who formed only 2 years ago have dropped ‘Saudade’ (EP) on November 20th, the follow-up to their first release, ‘Driftwood’, out in 2014. Boston Manor isn’t the average UK band and offers a lot of different emotions through their particular take on pop-punk music and...

So, it’s no secret that French people like to complain. A lot. I’m one of these people. But when you add the fact that they like hardcore/metal/youknowwhatImean, they often become the worst music snobs the world of music snobs has every seen. One could argue that this article is also complaining and they wouldn’t be completely...
Maybe 2016 needs to be the year we stop gendering music? Have a read.

We had a chat with Geoff Rickly and Stu Richardson about the present, the future, a bit of the past, and their music environment in general. You can watch the video below. No Devotion have released their debut full length ‘Permanence’ (click...

PSA: This is a midly ironic article about romanticizing the hell out of the 80s punk and glam rock scene, it should not be taken seriously. If I had a dollar for everytime I heard some young adult in a massproduced Pink Floyd tshirt say “Music just ain’t what it was, it’s all mainstream bullshit...
"Thankfully I discovered Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds: suddenly I had a true old school favourite band and could therefore indulge in all kinds of pretentious musical nonsense. What a relief." Featured story of Saturday night covers general aesthetic of 1980s rockstars. Have a read!
Our Last Night yesterday in Paris. Sweaty, eventful show and100% worths it! (Oct. 2015) www.plugin-mag.com
"The only place where you can get away with groping artists" : A Parisian venue chose very clumsy, harmful wording to promote their reopening and here's why that sucks.
"Thing is that melodic hardcore is a particular way of making music and it’s not something anyone would do properly but when they do –oh boy – it’s marvelous! It gives you the chills and it’s captivating. So captivating and when they’re done, you only feel overwhelmed and empty but in a positive way. Oddly, that’s a music that is angry enough to help you proceed to taking all the bad stuff out of your soul, for an hour or two, or an entire evening. It’s great because the cathartic project doesn’t only involve the artists / writers / performers but it also applies to the listener. And you know it’s good, when 80% of the words you hear speak to you, and end up flowing into your veins. I’m not even exaggerating or trying to grace the reality, I’m speaking of experience and that’s mostly what brought me into listening to that type of music, because you find a strange comfort in it."
