season 9 has genuinely been the absolute best one yet which im afraid to say in case the last 2 episodes somehow fuck it all but that feels unlikely. like even if something fucks up i dont think itll literally ruin the whole season retroactively. season 9 is insane and catered to me specifically

like morty stomping off to his room to sulk after finding out about reese paralleling evil rick’s line of “lemme guess, you're gonna leave or, or throw a sulking fit?”

or rick calling morty an “evil boy”

As much as I've enjoyed seeing Morty get more screentime, I hate that the writers chose to push Beth and Summer aside in the process. I mean, why does JERRY keep getting fun storylines while Beth and Summer get a couple of lines per episode? I can see why Jerry had the B-plot in "A Ricker Runs Through It" because Rick probably didn't want to put Beth or Summer in that situation, but aside from that, it's been disappointing to watch the female characters get sidelined--especially since season eight made a lot of progress on that front.

Call me crazy, but I don't think I should be hearing women's voices for only 15 seconds per episode. "Jer Bud" looks like it's going to be the sole Beth episode for the season, and Jerry's going to have a big role in that one, too.

1st episode was insane because i couldn't believe they were really doing this. they really planned wrote drew animated and voiced all that. 2nd episode made me just sit back and fucking Think afterwards. its really really good i think its really good just as An Episode of tv. was gonna get my friend to watch it before remembering just how intensely unreality paranoia triggering it is. 3rd episode ive only watched once and i dont remember if there was anything insane in it but i didnt Dislike it. 4TH EPISODE. THEYRE TRYING TO KILL ME

I love-hate the “you’re not going to inherit anything from me” at the beginning paired with the “it’s a genetic disease” at the end; Morty IS going to inherit something from Rick after all.
