At the end of the day, I would still take TTPD over TLOAS because at the very least one of these albums seemed as if it could be coming from the person most of us thought we were supporting. I saw a lot of my own bad poetry written in times of personal strife there. TLOAS though? It sounds like it could be made by ai. It's soulless.

Look, I know none of us like Travis or believe he's the love of Taylor's life but I don't think he's a beard either. I think that Taylor just chose to settle down with her "eternal consolation prize" and as tragic as it all is, it adds up. She gets to play at romance (and heteronormativity) with someone that doesn't get her (and likely never will) but at least he's trying. It's the safe path, the path of least resistance, a path a lot of women (queer or not) take.

And even if she does come out (which I just don't see happening atm), I think she's been far too hurt by whatever happened with Karlie and whatever happened with Joe and her experiences with romance in general.

My biggest grievance with MHA will and always has been the fact that it had so much potential to be a story that tackles the rehabilitation of criminals and all the very interesting questions relating to it and that Horikoshi was clearly not going to do so.

I'm sorry, you're telling me Izuku Midoriya, of all shounen protagonists, wouldn't be dead set on trying to help villains lead semi-normal lives? Izuku Midoriya, whose entire path as a hero started when he chose compassion for someone who bullied him horribly for years on end? Izuku Midoriya, who more than anyone else can understand how much a quirk or lack-there-of can impact a person?

I sort of knew that wasn't going to happen when the best gateways to that kind of story - Stain and Twice - were taken out of the picture. If there was a place to start that theme, it was with Stain, and Twice would've worked fantastically as a set-up for the potential rehabilitations of some members of the L.O.V.

I don't know, it's just a little bit disappointing to me.
