i think if anyone ever asked me to describe tfw 2.0's dynamic, i'd show them that scene where sam is singlehandedly holding back a pack of hellhounds and begging "guys a little help here!!" while dean and cas ignore him to continue to old married couple bicker. meanwhile, jack swallows an ancient relic like it's a coin machine gumball and dean and cas stop their bickering to be like "where did it go" and jack is like "oh! i ate it! :D" and cas is like wtf and dean actually holds out his hand and says "spit it out." this all happens in the span of maybe 30 seconds or less.
