I think about that photo of Miranda holding baby Evaline a lot, she must have carried her herself right? I like to think that Mia acted as a mid-wife before her babysitter role hehe
If you remember or don't know I made an AU where I had Mia Winters join Chris' Hound Wolf Squad after the events of RE8 so she could be closer to Rose.
....And I'd be stupid if I didn't jump at the opportunity to somehow make this about Chaincaw
Yes I brought back Miranda and gave her short hair and I will explain how I brought her back later, but what's important is that this is a few years into the AU
Mia was on a recon mission, got separated from her squad and found Miranda. That's pretty much the context.

@slop4u we talked about Mia potentially joining Chris's team to be closer to Rose. And I was originally going to make her have a more laid back and low risk role on his team but I decided against that. My girlie can be trusted with military grade weapons 🙂↕️
EDIT: Seems like the winning call sign from the poll i posted is, Vulpine, meaning fox or fox like. I'm actually really happy with that one because a fox is a caine but not in the same way a wolf is and I think that perfectly reflects Mia's situation on the Hound Wolf team :]
Some lore details for this AU under the cut:
So pretty much, Chris was obviously very against her joining the Hound Wolf Squad but she kept insisting. And eventually she threatened to go directly to the BSAA and try to get work with them directly if he didn't let her join his team. (She was bluffing but he didn't know that)
He agreed because he thought her being on his team meant she'd be a little safer. He also thought that she'd tap out during the training he put her through. She did not, in fact she surprised him a lot during her training. Especially with how good she got at melee fighting.
She's good enough at shooting but more comfortable with hand to hand combat and I say this based solely on re7. We know she can use a high powered gun, because of the ship scenes in re7, so she does have that going for her as well. But she didn't really have any special powers or tricks that stood out to me when she was controlled by Eveline besides enhanced strength and her connection to the rest of the Baker family through the mold.
I do headcanon that she can never truly be cured of the mold, it is simply dormant in her and would need to be activated by something for her to experience any real effects of it. (And it does get activated in this AU 😭 so by all technically terms, she is a bio weapon, but she only really gets heightened senses and strengthen. There is a bad side effect she gets when the mold is activated but I'll get into that later)
That all being said, Chris labels her as the teams go to close range fighter. Reluctantly of course, because he was still focused on putting her in the least amount of danger as possible. Mostly because he knows she only joined his team so she could see Rose. (And because he kind of sees protecting both Mia and Rose as one of his top priorities especially after Ethan's death and it's sort of how he is coping with his survivor's guilt)
Despite her joining only to be in Rose's life more, Mia does become a very productive member of the team. Her first mission was rough but she pulled through.
Anyway I'm not sure how much I'll do for this AU but it was fun to draw all those sketches of Mia and the tactical military gear wasn't too hard to draw :]
