in the realm of dreams I take the chance imagining a dance, a fleeting romance underneath the stars as our steps align a fantasy waltz, a dance divine

in the moonlit glow as we sway a dance of hearts, in dreams we stay your laughter, a melody, sweet and light in this illusion, everything feels right

the music plays, a soft serenade a dance with you, a wish conveyed but reality whispers a different song for in waking hours, I dance alone

in these dreams, your eyes meet mine a dance so tender, a moment, so fine yet, morning light unveils the truth in reality, I dance without you, uncouth

so, in the ballroom of my mind, we sway a dance that reality takes away for in the waking world, I may pine yet, in my dreams, you'll always be mine - waltz

you said you’d call, I took you true

a simple plan, a moment due

you spoke in promises, steady and sure

words like a map, a path to endure

the phone stayed still, the screen stayed dark

your silence left a careful mark

for every ring I didn’t hear

made absence feel abruptly near

you spoke of plans, of days ahead

of moments living in what you said

I held them gently, line by line

believing time would make them mine

but plans grow thin when not pursued

they fade when never followed through

what once felt real begins to bend

when words don’t walk the road they send

it’s not the call you didn’t make

or dates you chose to let awake

it’s how each promise, left undone

unthreads the trust we’d just begun

so now I stand where “we” once stood

on half a road, misunderstood

for you went back on what you knew

and turned your word away from truth

hurt is ugly—

it doesn’t need

to be wrapped in a bow

or buried beneath a bed of roses.

turning the good

into poetry

is much more difficult.

fully capturing the way

you glance at me out of the corner of your eye

when you know i’m gazing at you

as if seeing an autumn sunset

for the first time—

the way

your legs get tangled with mine underneath the table

at our favorite coffee shop

as we spill our hearts

into word documents—

the way

our pinkies search for one another

as we walk side by side

at our favorite park,

interlocking as they meet—

is an impossibility,

because even though these moments

have more meaning behind them

than if we reached into the sky

and wrote our names amongst the stars,

they are already poetry

in its rawest form.

attempting to put them into words,

no matter how flowery they are,

is like translating

from one language

to another,

something always

getting lost in translation.”

I need your hug to feel the world fade away a safe haven, where my heart can stay your arms are the warmth I have longed to know a place where my love can endlessly grow

I need your hand to journey beside me not to lead nor follow, but simply to be in your touch, I feel the infinite near a bond unbroken, pure and clear

I need your gaze to lose myself completely to feel its depth hold me so sweetly your eyes are a truth I cannot deny a place where my spirit longs to lie

and lastly I need the sound of your voice to remind me that we still have a choice a simple hello to break through the pain and bring us closer to love again - Need
