It wouldn't be good for Mac's for sure, but actually yenas have extremely hardy digestive systems! It's part of what allowed them to survive when canine pokemon started popping up and invading their ecological niches back during the last ice age. There USED to be a lot more carnivorous yenas that probably wouldn't be able to handle the kind of diet modern day yenas subsist on, but they nearly all got pushed out when canine pokemon started to spread across the globe (Mac is in fact a member of the last surviving insectivore yena subspecies).

With the exception of Mac's subspecies, modern day yenas can survive eating WAY harsher things than your average human. I've talked before about how yenas will eat bones, but they can also eat skin, hair, horns, hooves, and of course carrion of varying freshness. Anything they can't digest, which isn't much mind you, gets regurgitated in these little pellets, kinda like what the Rowlett and hoothoot line do. These guys can eat basically anything.

croissant is... more or less people trained now if u wanted to see him! hes been w a pokesitter trained to deal w psuedolegends (like dragonite and salamence) so hes really loosened up. still acts like a poochyena pup though holy shit. the second i visit he knocks me over and refuses to let me up bc he HAS to cuddle. its so cute but also man i need to walk places

now that im free hes back under my full jurisdiction 💪💪 my baby boy 💪💪
