Fate Winx Saga ep 1 rant (spoilers)

I am one of those 20 somethings who have rewatched episodes of winx club in the past few years... and like, in the netflix remake...

The world is fairly bland except for magic light flitting around like butterflies (in ONE scene)

There are female specialists because strong girls yay but there are no male fairies because fuck non-heteronormative boys i guess.

WHY IS STELLA A BITCH?? i Know there will be a redemption arc for her i can smell it coming but SERIOUSLY? Stella is vivacious and perhaps promiscuous. Stella is NOT someone who throws herself at men and begs for their attention.

Kudos to Bloom for using the word mansplain in an unnecessary context and kudos to the show for making a callback to that in an actually humourous context that ends up making light of the issue.

Flora... sorry, Terra, I fully support your feelings, I'm not a thin person myself and I think that guy was being an asshole but strangling him is a tiny bit much in realistic terms. Also ends up making light of the structural violence that big girls face.
