The Opening Ceremony (GTS/Foot/Shoe)
Although I had defeated Klara, the Gym Challenge opening ceremony was starting soon so I had to put my training on hold for now. Hopping aboard the train, I arrived back in Motostoke. I met up with Hop at the Budew Inn again and we shared what we got up to on the way to the ceremony. We also bumped into some pompous guy in a purple coat along the way and my Arceus, do I wanna just grind him into the dirt! He's so full of himself!
We were soon directed to the changing rooms, there were some interesting looking girls with me, I thought I spotted a girl with a challenger number of 12... a gym leader nominee maybe? I wonder if there's anyone as interesting with Hop and that future purple piñata..
After getting changed and meeting up, Hop and I watched the gym leaders as they entered the stadium's field, being introduced, one by one. To be honest, the cheers for Nessa kinda drowned out the cheers for everyone else....everyone except that fckn playboy Raihan! If half the girls that followed him actually met him in person, he'd faint faster than his pokemon do against Lee!
Anyway, it was finally our time. With some...motivation from Hop, I pushed my nerves aside and walked out onto the field. I tried looking around for the purple prick who was trying to taunt me earlier, I was curious if he was nominated by a gym leader too, but he was nowhere to be seen. According to Hop, he suddenly disappeared before going to the changing room... It was strange though...I thought could still hear him...whatever, out of sight, out of mind. As Lee always says; "simply put your best foot forward, you'll crush anything in your way and have a champion time!"
Charioted by the crowd's roars that shook the stadium, Rotom cameras flew around making sure to get a good view of us all. A sudden tailwind blew behind me, had to be the worst time for a wardrobe malfunction, I was in direct view of every Rotom camera when it happened! I could've sworn I saw Raihan smirk as one of the Rotom flew right under me! I wouldn't put it past him to do something like this... UGH, JUST HE WAIT FOR ME TO REACH HIS GYM!!! He'll regret it!
Thankfully nothing more eventful happened. With how sweaty my Dojo uniform was, I decided to just wear my Gym challenger uniform back to the Inn. Thankfully, Hop offered to carry and wash it all for me overnight, I warned him it stunk like hell but he insisted. He's letting me shower first so I better jump in before I stink the room up myself..
See? This is what happens to bad rivals.
at this rate i actually might not finish this series by the time gen 10 comes out XD
