i know its not an original thought, but im losing it about how Eva Stratt was also a sacrificial lamb. Like she did all that to Grace while laying down on the altar next to him. she dragged him there kicking and screaming and then calmly placed her own neck on the chopping block.

Stratt knew exactly what was being done to her and accepted it immediately. Grace had no idea what was being done to him and couldn't accept it. Stratt turned her love for the world into sacrifice. Grace showed his love for the world by clinging to it with all his might.

they are such good foils for each other. he is kind and soft and she is ruthless and sharp but for both of them its love. Its love all the way down. They love the world, they love humanity.
