Idia Shroud x E1-3/Postponend (or reader)?
You were strolling down the halls of Ignihyde wondering where your fellow housewarden was. There was a recent outage in your room but the rest of the dormitory seemed perfectly lit up whatsoever, and you had no clue how to fix it as you were one of the ones with smarts but not specifically for technology.
You then strut down the corridor with a left, and look up at the door decorated in vocaloid stickers or games such as Star rogue, featuring multiple of its characters and different ships, and a little chibi Ortho on the top right. It was cute of Idia to put a sticker of his little brother you thought before shaking your head and knocking the door, only to hear a yelling Idia.
“WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW?!” He yelled, as you heard a smack of what you could assume was him smashing his keyboard and taking his headphones to walk towards the door and opening it. You look up at him slightly nervous.
“…Was this a bad time Idia? I can leave…?”
He looked down at you, red flames at the tips at the bottom of his hair, that is now mostly of blue and a tinge of pink at the tips of his bangs.
“Uhm…no whatever…what did you need..?”
You could tell he was nervous and still agitated, which you could assume was from a game of his. But nervous…? Usually he is nervous, but not whenevers hes mad. You stare right into his eyes and he immediately looks away, you take this as a sign to put a stop to the awkward silence.
“Theres a, well random outage in my room. Was wondering if you could uh…you know maybe help fix it..?”
You hear a mumbled “Sure.” And wait for him to grab his tools. You stand at the door until he comes back cluttering a very messed up toolbox, that had cracks and random spray painted colors on it. But nonetheless you ignore it and both of you head to your room.
Idia settles his stuff down on the floor and opens up the small electric box that was in your room, a flashlight placed in your hand to point at the spot he was working at. Though your mind started darting elsewhere, you focused on him more than holding the flashlight and your hands started to shake slightly.
You hadn’t realized how long you were staring until the light of your room returned and you were blinded, as you accidentally dropped the flashlight onto the floor in slight surprise, but immediately crouch down to retrieve the flashlight and turn it off. Idia looks at you with a small “EEP!” Coming from his mouth as he heard the drop. Then he immediately shives his hands into his pockets and looks down at the floor awkwardly.
You look at him again, staring for longer than necessary, you can notice him getting more nervous and uncomfortable. But you couldn’t stop. Well, after you bluntly spoke without knowing what you were saying.
“I like you.”
You immediately clapped your hands over your mouth and immediately start looking away, take your hands to instead hide your face now. “Just forget I said anything! Thanks for helping me out Housewarden but I think you really should go!” As you start shoving Idia out your room he basically looks at you, his hair turning pinker by the second and flames bursting outwards more.
That makes you pause for a second. You might as well just talk about it instead of being childish. You were about to apologize until…
“…I..guess…I like you as well..?” Idia mumbled, and started fiddling with his fingers and averting his eyes in any direction you weren’t in, and you can see red start creeping up his face.
“…huh..uh..ok.” Was all you said and the awkward silenced ensued. Both of you refusing to speak. And then you just..slowly inch your hands towards his… “Uh..do.. you want to… go out on a walk..?”
Then you realized that was the stupidest thing you could ever ask of Idia, him? Going outside willingly? Yeah that was a no go and you were going to start bursting into apologies, but Idia spoke before you talked.
“…Sure..”
It was a hesitant answer, sure, but you took it as a yes nonetheless and you both went out into the night, roaming the darkness and staring at the moon outside of NRC.
This was truly going to be a night to remember.
