@potentiallyavampire
we need an explanation
The call is coming from inside the house
Anaire knew when her children died, one after the other, separated by century or decade. She knew when he husband died, the despair that came from him finally replaced by nothingness.
She did not know of her granddaughter, of her nephews and niece. Their fates were lost to her.
Only ArafinwĂŤ and Earwen, ever paler in sorrow and despair, told her of their fates. Only Nerdanel, quieter than ever she had been, was able to piece together when their lost family had faced some new horror.
Not an echo of their lamentations. Not a whisper of news for their families.
Not until a boy with Turukanoâs nose and ElenwĂŤâs eyes. Not until a girl with OlwĂŤâs bearing. Not until two children cross the Sea bearing news and light.
Their tale hurts. It is cruel, difficult to hear, harder still for them to tell.
Anaire offers what kindness she can to her grandson. He is so young, barely more than a babe, yet speaks of having children of his own.
He left them behind. His Elwing left them behind. Anaire offers what hope she can, Maitimo ever was their first choice of babysitter. If he found the children then they will be safe.
She knows that it is bitter comfort. That were it not for her nephews, the grandchildren of her granddaughter would not have been left at all.
ArafinwĂŤ announces, to the relief of many of the Noldor left in Tirion, that they will be marching to Beleriand with the backing of the Valar and Vanyar. Earendilâs Silmaril has bought the Exiles an army.
Too late for most.
Too late for Anaireâs family.
Earwen will not go. She has been left to rule Tirion, to care for Findarato newly released from the Halls and so terribly fragile.
Nerdanel will not go. She fears to see what her sons have become. She fears that her face, so similar to that of her children, will spark distrust among those hurt by her sons.
Anaire does not speak of her choice at first. She returns to the home she has barely entered in centuries. Enters the chamber she had shared with her husband, and looks in the chest at the foot of their bed.
A sword lay within. Wrapped in linen, embellished with a star.
How she had hated it when Nolofinwe had brought it home! How she had despised the very thing! It had been pressed against his throat, been used to threaten his very life, and he had brought it into their bedchamber.
The last sword on the shores of Valinor forged by FĂŤanaro.
Anaire took it up, admired the gleam of the blade in the pale moonlight, and made her choice.
She would sail to Beleriand with the army. She would avenge her children and husband.
Findarato and Earendil had both spoken of Nolofinwe injuring Morgoth. Seven blows they said the songs spoke of.
With that hated sword in hand, she was sure she could do eight.
Phannies: goddd they're so relaxed together at the chelsea flower show what a wonderful era we're in

Obsessed with the
Phil: "i dont like nightclubs"

Phil: "when are we going?"
Why am i not surprised that when god is angry his wrath is delivered by men who preach with guns in their hand.
when i was a kid i decided that killing people was bad therefore war was bad therefore the military was evil. and adults would tell me it's more nuanced than that and i would understand when i grew up. well i'm a grown up now and idk i still think that killing people is bad and war is bad and the military is evil
i made dnp in ts4 why is dan so biblically accurate and phil looks like Some Guy because of the hair :-(((( i need to get a better hair for him!!!!!
why does no one ever talk about tired eyelashes
Older people love saying that young people donât understand nuance while keeping the same ideology theyâve had since the fifties like a tin of corned beef in the cupboard that lacks an expiration date.
Me when I design male characters: Ill give them pretty hair ig.
Me when i design female characters: THEY MUST BE BUILT AS THE TREES THAT BORE THEM
I donât want to be a man. But I sometimes wish i could live by the rules of one. To not live with my body being seen as a ornament or a shameful thing. To not have to prove my knowledge or authority. To not always be on the lookout for my safety. To be confident, without being rude. I love being a woman. But in societies eyes, just being a woman is never enough. A man can just be. A woman has to fight twice as hard just to be seen, and even thats shes shamed for. What must it be like, i wonder? To not carry the weight of thousands of years of shame on your shoulders. Just because you were born one way and not the other. To go through life not constantly proving yourself worthy of respect. To be seen as a person first. Before being seen as somthing else.
I donât know why humans insist on making up all these things like justice and morals and then refuse to use them. Humanity is just the equivalent of that one person who constantly goes on a diet but just cannot stick with it. Theyâll say: âoh Iâm cutting out lactose it makes me so bloatedâ and then you find them in the kitchen at three am stuffing a whole piece of Gouda in their mouth.
New Dan and Phil podcast intro be like:
Dan: This year I lost my dear husband
Phil: QUIT TELLING EVERYONE IM DEAD
Dan: Sometimes i can still hear his voice
Making the decision to watch dan and phil play poppy playtime 5 while i nap.
