This is incorrect. It is AAVE that means respected elder. It is white gen z that twisted it into meaning an older man who is disconnected from the youth. I think @creatingblackcharacters has a post about that but I could be wrong. Sometimes Wiktionary and other dictionary sites may solidify a definition that is more recent than the original, without crediting the original meaning. My understanding is that this happens to Black language and culture all the time.
