Porco mindlessly clicked on the tv remote, switching from show to show as his eyes darted from the time in the lower corner to whatever dumb piece of media was suggested to him from Netflix. Truthfully, he was bored out of his mind. Bored, slightly anxious, and waiting for your arrival.
Porco would never oppose you going out with your girl friends, at least not outright. Would he prefer you stay home and watch movies with him all night? Yes. A million times yes. Not because he was controlling, but because he missed you and worried about you. But he understood you were young and didn’t want to ruin your fun. But on the nights you went out with your friends, giggling goodbye out the door and squealing as Sasha’s car sped out of you and Porco’s shared apartment parking lot, a part of him wished he could hold you back from the dangers of the outside world. Nevertheless, he opted to wait for your arrival instead, which depending on the occasion, could be 10 pm, or 2 am. Tonight, you were celebrating Historia’s birthday, an event that Porco was sure would mean a late arrival this time.
Much to his surprise, the doorbell rang. Porco glanced at the time, 11:53 PM. A little earlier than he expected, but he wasn’t complaining. He got up from the couch, mumbling a quick “Coming.” He figured you were fumbling with your keys, and swung the door open to save you the trouble, excited to see your adorable face flushed after a few drinks.
Only to see you leaned against Mikasa, who wore her usual poker face. The sight was somewhat comical, your head bowed, your body in a short dress pressed against Mikasa’s tall, muscular frame. You were in your silly character socks, the boots you had worn out the door now bunched in Mikasa’s hand.
“She got too drunk.” Mikasa said flatly. “We were at The Rose Room.”
Porco sighed. The Rose Room. Little explanation was needed after that. Unfortunately, the Rose Room was notoriously your favorite spot, and also where you tended to get the drunkest.
“Alright, give ‘er here.” Mikasa transferred your limp body to Porco’s extended arms. “Thank you for bringing her. I hope she didn’t give you too much trouble.”
Mikasa chuckled. “Nah, Historia and Sasha are ten times worse right now. But she’ll definitely feel those shots later.” Mikasa rubbed your back and you let out a drunken groan. “Bye girl. Text you tomorrow. Bye Porco, good luck.” She turned to leave.
“Get home safe, Mikasa.” Porco called out as he shut the door. He looked at you in your drunken state, eyes shut tight, disheveled hair and tsked. “You had fun, babe?”
“So much fun.” You groaned.
“I see that. Now c’mon, let’s get you into some PJS.”
“Baby,” You hiccuped. “I-I need to-“
Without hesitation, Porco dropped your boots from his other hand and lifted you bridal style to the bathroom. He had lived through enough girls night outs with you to know that once you got to talking like that, you were about to hurl your drinks up.
Porco set you down infront of the toilet, lifting the seat. You reached for the bowl almost instinctively, and as you felt the last 3 drinks you had rise up your throat, Porco gently lifted your hair at the base of your neck into a makeshift ponytail. As you emptied your guts, your temperature rose and you grew weaker, but Porco supported your back with his large palm, rubbing between your shoulder blades.
“Oooh, alright, babe, let it out. Get rid of alllll that liquor.”
“Jello shots.” You moaned into the toilet. “Never again. No more.”
Porco smirked. “I agree. No more jello shots for you, featherweight.”
You suddenly sobbed, not quite sure why, this wasn’t a new experience for either of you. But in your drunken state, you just felt so much love for Porco, for taking care of you, for being there. You wanted to kiss him and jump his bones at the same time. And also continue to sob violently at the thought of being so loved, even with vomit breath and mascara running down your face. He looked so heavenly, staring down at you with nothing but care and admiration in his eyes as you made a drunken fool of yourself. You felt hypnotized by him, wanting nothing more but to lay there and stare at him longer.
“Awww, don’t cry, you little goober.” Porco teased. You had finally quit throwing up enough for Porco to flush the toilet and for you to (grossly) lay your head on the seat. He poked at your cheek and you felt your hair hit your back as he caressed it. “Why are you crying?”
“I love you so much.” You choked out. Porco felt his heart melt. You had been dating for a few years now, and while Porco wasn’t nearly as affectionate as you, he would be lying if he said your drunken confessions didn’t made his heart flutter with adoration. While he hated seeing you suffer, he loved seeing you be so open after a few drinks. It was like your shell melted away, leaving only your soft interior exposed. And he loved being able to tease you about your silly words the next day. One time you had gotten so drunk you asked Porco if he had a girlfriend because you thought he was so cute. And when Porco said you were his girlfriend, you giggled for ten minutes straight. Porco grinned at the memory.
“You’re laughing at me?” You wailed.
“No, no, not at all baby.” He chuckled, kissing your forehead. “I just love you too. So much.” His hand lingered on your cheek
You nodded, leaning into his palm. “I wanna be with you forever.”
“You will be.” Porco continued to caress your cheek. “Always and forever.” He kissed your other hand as you squeezed your eyes shut. The sound of Porco’s words sounded extremely appealing. Always and forever.
“You’re hot.” You whispered.
Porco cackled. That was new. You usually just repeated that he was cute over and over. The liquor must’ve had you feeling bold. “Woah, okay Y/N. Time to get you cleaned up.”
“Very hot.” You grumbled.
“You’re hot too. But you also reek of jello shots. C’mon.” he helped you to your feet as you giggled.
